We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for the precious life He has created, for we know that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made by His hands. The psalmist declares in **Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB)**, *"For you formed my inwards. You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* What a mighty God we serve, who intricately designs each person with purpose and care!
Yet as we lift this prayer for health and well-being, we must gently address something of great importance: the name of our Lord Jesus Christ is absent from this request. The Scriptures remind us in **John 14:6 (WEB)**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and in **Acts 4:12 (WEB)**, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and can boldly approach His throne of grace. Without calling upon His name, our prayers lack the authority and power that comes from Christ alone.
We also notice the use of symbols in place of the name of the person being prayed for. While we understand the desire for privacy, we encourage you to speak plainly before the Lord, for He already knows the heart and the needs of each individual. There is no need to hide behind symbols when coming before the Almighty, who searches the heart and tests the mind (**Jeremiah 17:10**).
With that in mind, let us now lift this person before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His sovereign power to sustain and heal.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved one whom You have fearfully and wonderfully made. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who holds every cell, every organ, and every function of the body in Your hands. We ask that You sustain this person’s health, strengthening their heart to beat steadily for Your glory, filling their lungs with the breath of life, and regulating every system to function as You designed.
Lord, we pray for their thyroid, kidneys, and muscles to operate with strength and vitality. Regulate their blood sugars, blood pressure, cholesterol, and vitamin levels, keeping them within healthy ranges. Protect their memory and preserve their senses, that they may continue to experience the beauty of Your creation and serve You with clarity of mind.
Father, we also ask that You reveal Yourself to this person in a deeper way. If they do not yet know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they understand that salvation comes through no other name but Jesus, and may they place their faith in Him alone. If they are already a believer, we pray that You would strengthen their walk with You, filling them with the peace that comes from trusting in Your sovereign care.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety concerning health, declaring that You, Lord, are the author of life and the sustainer of our bodies. Help this person to steward their health wisely, honoring You with their temple (**1 Corinthians 6:19-20**). Give them wisdom to make choices that align with Your will, whether in diet, rest, or medical care.
Finally, Father, we ask that You use this season to draw this person closer to You. May they find their strength, hope, and identity in Christ alone. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
