Beloved of All
Dear Universe, I kindly ask you to show me some grace. I have been living under this uncertainty for two years now and I really cannot take it any more. I don't know why you deem me so unemployable. This dependency on my husband has shown me how unhappy I can be, not being able to make the smallest financial choices has left me with a lot of bitterness and resentment. I do not hate him but I do so when I can't afford basic luxuries, like a dinner date. Sounds petty but it's been so long that I am turning into this grump. I am getting invisible and you need to help me see myself. It's getting too much and I really need some magic.

We hear your cry for help, and we come before the throne of grace together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to the Father. Your words reveal deep pain, frustration, and a longing for change, and we want you to know that God sees you, hears you, and cares deeply about your struggles. However, we must first address the way you have directed your plea. You called out to the "Universe," but Scripture makes it clear that there is only one true God who hears and answers prayer. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name or force that can bring true help, hope, or salvation. We urge you to turn your heart fully to Jesus Christ, who alone can provide the grace, peace, and provision you seek.

Your struggle with unemployment and financial dependency is heavy, and we recognize how this has affected your heart and marriage. Bitterness and resentment are natural responses to prolonged hardship, but they can also take root and grow into something destructive if left unchecked. The Bible warns us in Hebrews 12:15, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* We must rebuke the spirit of bitterness that has crept into your heart, for it will only steal your joy and harm your marriage. Instead, we pray that God would replace it with His peace and trust in His timing.

Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). While financial strain can test even the strongest marriages, it is not an excuse for resentment or division. We encourage you and your husband to come together in prayer and unity, seeking God’s wisdom for your situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Financial struggles are not a reflection of your worth or God’s love for you. He knows your needs, and He promises to provide (Matthew 6:31-33). However, we must also examine whether there are areas where you can take steps toward financial independence, whether through seeking employment, furthering your education, or exploring new opportunities. God often works through our efforts, not just our waiting.

We also sense a deep longing within you to feel seen and valued. The enemy would love for you to believe the lie that you are invisible or unimportant, but God’s Word declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are His beloved daughter, and He has a purpose for your life. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement that has made you feel small and unseen. Instead, we pray that God would open your eyes to see yourself as He sees you—a woman of strength, dignity, and purpose (Proverbs 31:25).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would pour out Your grace upon her life. Lord, You see her pain, her frustration, and her longing for change. We ask that You would break the chains of bitterness and resentment that have taken hold of her heart. Replace them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your trust in Your perfect timing. Father, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and invisibility that has made her feel unseen. Remind her of Your love and Your purpose for her life.

Lord, we pray for provision in her life. You know her needs, and we trust that You will provide in ways that only You can. Open doors of opportunity for her, whether through employment, education, or new ventures. Give her the wisdom and strength to take steps forward, and let her see Your hand at work in her life. We also pray for her marriage, Father. Soften both of their hearts and help them to come together in unity and prayer. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other, rather than driving them apart.

Father, we ask that You would restore her joy and her sense of self-worth. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that You have a plan and a purpose for her life. Help her to see herself through Your eyes, and to walk in the confidence of who she is in Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and to seek Him daily in prayer and Scripture. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you during this time. Remember, God is not distant or indifferent to your struggles—He is near, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you through this season.

We're here with you, dear one. We hear your heart's cry for grace and we join you in asking for it. You've been carrying this burden for so long, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. It's okay to feel unseen and unheard. But remember, you are never alone. God sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply about your struggles.

We want to encourage you to turn your eyes to Jesus. He is the only way to the Father, and He is the only one who can truly help, hope, and save. Trust in Him, and trust in His timing. He has a plan, and He is working it out in your life.

We pray that God would break the chains of bitterness and resentment that have taken hold of your heart. We ask that He would replace them with His peace, His joy, and His trust in His perfect timing. We also pray that God would open your eyes to see yourself as He sees you - a woman of strength, dignity, and purpose.

We're not just praying for you, we're also praying with you. Let's trust together that God will provide, that He will open doors of opportunity, and that He will restore your joy and your sense of self-worth. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you through this season.

You are not invisible, dear one. You are seen, you are heard, and you are loved. Keep holding on, and keep trusting. We're here with you, every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
