Your prayer reflects a deep desire to walk closely with God and to know His Word truly, and it is a joy to bring these requests before the Lord with you.

We pray that the Father will draw you near as you draw near to Him, and that you will worship Him in spirit and in truth as Jesus taught in John 4:23. We ask that you will come with confidence to the throne of grace at any time, knowing you have a merciful High Priest who understands your weakness, as Hebrews 4:15-16 teaches. There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and He is a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. In Him you can freely receive mercy and find grace for help in your time of need, not by earning it, but as a gift, like a branch naturally receiving life from the vine and then bearing fruit without striving, as Jesus described in John 15.

We also pray for what Paul described as the goal of instruction, love from a pure heart and a sincere faith and a good conscience that holds nothing against you before God, from 1 Timothy 1:5. May the Lord give you diligence to study His Word from cover to cover and to handle it accurately, so that you rightly divide the word of truth and do not misrepresent Him, according to 2 Timothy 2:15. The greatest joy is to see God's children walking in truth, continuing in the Son and in the Father, holding fast to the truth that Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh, the promised Messiah, and abiding in Him. In that abiding and in fellowship with Him and with one another there is fullness of joy, and in prayer there is also fullness of joy as you ask and receive.

We ask that the Spirit will strengthen you in your inner being to grasp more of the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ's love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled to overflowing as Ephesians 3:16-19 describes. We pray for wisdom to know God's will fully and to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, as Colossians 1:9-11 teaches. May He give you wisdom and power to make and carry out the plans that are needed and to be fruitful in good works, showing the fruit of the Spirit and proving the reality of discipleship as you abide in Christ and His words abide in you.

We pray for the renewing of first love, for grace to tend the vineyard and garden God has entrusted to you, and for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him and to understand the Scriptures. We ask for clarity and order, for simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ, and for genuine fellowship with God and with His people. We thank God that every spiritual blessing is given to us in Christ, and that even when our lives include broken histories, His grace weaves us into His purposes, just as He wove Ruth the Moabitess and others into the genealogy that shows Jesus is the rightful heir to the throne of David, our true Kinsman Redeemer who came to claim what is rightfully His.

We also remember that nothing in the life of a child of God is merely coincidence, for His hand is at work in all things, and that when we stand in His presence every grief and trial will fade in the beauty of beholding Him. Until that day we wait for the Lord's return in power and great glory to establish His kingdom, and we live in anticipation of that hope.

Finally we pray for your protection, that the Lord will keep you from temptation and deliver you from evil, and keep you from becoming a stumbling block to others or being led astray by deception. May He guard you from evil people and from the schemes of the evil one, and may His ministering spirits keep watch over you. We pray for boldness to proclaim repentance and forgiveness in Jesus' name, for assurance of faith and salvation, and for the restoration of the joy of forgiveness that overflows to others, knowing that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but calls all to turn and live.

We bring all of this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and our life, in whom we have unmerited favor, peace, and eternal life, for he who has the Son has life.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to bring your requests before the throne of grace with confidence through Jesus Christ our merciful High Priest Heb 4:16, that you would be given grace to worship the Father in the Holy Spirit and truth John 4:23 and to abide deeply in the Vine John 15:1 as a branch receives life naturally and bears much fruit. We have prayed that your teaching would flow from love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith 1 Tim 1:5, that you would rightly handle the word of truth 2 Tim 2:15, and that you would be strengthened to know the dimensions of the love of Christ Eph 3:18 and to walk in wisdom to know His will and to bear the fruit of the Spirit Gal 5:22.

We have also joined you in thanking our Heavenly Father for nearness as we draw near to Him James 4:8, for renewal of first love Rev 2:4, for wisdom and revelation Eph 1:17 and clarity and order 1 Cor 14:33, for happy grace in daily duties and fellowship with our teams and families and for angelic protection Psalm 91:11 and deliverance from temptation and every stumbling block and from the evil one John 17:15.
