We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for the privilege to approach Your throne of grace through the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Your Word declares, "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:23 WEB). We humbly seek the grace to worship You in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and in the unchanging truth of Your Word, for You alone are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise.
Lord, we thank You for Jesus Christ, our merciful High Priest, who sympathizes with our weaknesses, having been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin. Through Him, we draw near to Your throne with confidence, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:15-16 WEB). Just as a branch receives life-giving sap from the vine, we rely on Christ, the true Vine, to nourish us so that we may bear much fruit (John 15:1-5 WEB). Without Him, we can do nothing, but through Him, we are empowered to live lives that glorify You.
Father, we ask for the Holy Spirit’s strength to comprehend the breadth, length, height, and depth of Christ’s love, which surpasses all knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19 WEB). Grant us wisdom to know Your will perfectly and the power to walk it out in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-11 WEB). May the goal of our teaching and our lives be love that flows from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5 WEB). Help us to study Your Word diligently, rightly dividing the truth, so that we may present ourselves approved to You, workers who do not need to be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15 WEB).
We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit to renew our first love for You, that we may not drift away from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ (Revelation 2:4 WEB, 2 Corinthians 11:3 WEB). Father, we thank You for the nearness of Your presence, draw near to us as we draw near to You (James 4:8 WEB). Teach us to tend our gardens, to take care of our own vineyards, and to walk in the wisdom and order You have established (Song of Solomon 1:6 WEB, Genesis 2:15 WEB, 1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB). May our lives reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, so that the world may see Christ in us (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).
Lord, we ask for clarity and wisdom to meet the pressing needs of our lives, that we may be fruitful and productive in every good work (Titus 3:14 WEB). Strengthen our fellowship with You, with the body of Christ, and with those who do not yet know You, that we may proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins in Jesus’ name (Luke 24:47 WEB, 1 John 1:1-3 WEB). Restore to us the joy of our salvation, that we may lead others to the hope found in Christ alone (Psalm 51:12-13 WEB).
We stand against every stumbling block, temptation, and scheme of the evil one, declaring that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Protect us from deception, from the influence of evil people and impostors who oppose the truth, and from the snares of sin (2 Timothy 3:5, 13 WEB). Deliver us from evil, and lead us not into temptation, but in all things, may Your will be done (Matthew 6:13 WEB).
Father, we thank You for the ministry of Your holy angels, who serve and protect those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14 WEB). We are grateful for Your promise that no plague shall come near our dwelling when we make You our refuge (Psalm 91:10-11 WEB). May we always be mindful of Your presence and walk in the assurance that You are with us, guiding and guarding our steps.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the one Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB), our eternal High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4 WEB, Hebrews 7:17 WEB). It is only through His finished work on the cross that we have access to You, and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). May our lives be a living testimony to the power of the gospel, that others may come to know the truth and be set free.
We commit ourselves afresh to You, Lord, asking that You would fill us with Your Spirit, renew our minds, and empower us to live for Your glory. May our worship, our words, and our works bring honor to Your holy name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
