We hear your cry for nearness to God in this season of loneliness, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting your heart before the throne of grace. The longing for His presence is a holy one, for as the psalmist declares, *"In your presence is fullness of joy; in your right hand there are pleasures forevermore"* (Psalm 16:11). You are not alone, though it may feel that way—God is nearer than your breath, and He has promised, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5).
We rejoice in your hunger for wisdom, revelation, and the ability to hear His voice. The Lord delights in those who seek Him, as it is written, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). We pray that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened, that you may know the hope of His calling and the riches of His inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17-18). May the Holy Spirit remind you of all that Jesus has spoken, for He is the Spirit of truth who guides us into all truth (John 16:13).
Your request for fasting and prayer aligns with the heart of God, for He says in Isaiah 58:6-9, *"Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yahweh will be your rear guard."* We join you in this fast, asking the Lord to break every chain of loneliness, deception, and spiritual oppression. May your prayers rise like incense before Him, and may the gates of hell not prevail against the church that Christ is building (Matthew 16:18).
We stand with you in resisting the devil, for Scripture commands us to *"be sober and self-controlled; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in the faith"* (1 Peter 5:8-9). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to isolate you or whisper that God has abandoned you. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
For your marriage and family, we pray protection and deliverance from every temptation, sin, and deception. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We ask the Lord to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, to keep you from the evil one, and to sanctify you in His truth (John 17:15-17). May your home be a place of peace, where the Word of God goes forth and transforms every area of your lives. We pray that you, your spouse, and your child would walk in the light as He is in the light, having fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleansing you from all sin (1 John 1:7).
We lift up your spouse specifically, asking the Holy Spirit to remind her of Jesus’ truth and to draw her closer to the heart of God. May she be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height of Christ’s love—which surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:17-19). We pray that your faith and hers would not fail, but that after you have suffered a while, the Lord would restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you both (1 Peter 5:10).
We also pray for direction and confirmation in your life. The Good Shepherd’s sheep hear His voice, and He leads them (John 10:27). We ask the Lord to speak clearly to you, to confirm His will through the testimony of two or three witnesses (Matthew 18:16), and to guide you by His Spirit, for *"as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God"* (Romans 8:14). May you walk in the fullness of His strength, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think, according to the power that works in you (Ephesians 3:20).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for Your nearness, for Your faithfulness, and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us. We ask that You draw near to Your child in this season, filling the loneliness with Your presence, the uncertainty with Your peace, and the silence with Your voice. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them know that they are deeply loved by You.
We pray for their marriage, that it would be a reflection of Christ and the church—a covenant of love, faithfulness, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33). Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, from temptation, and from every form of deception. Let Your Word go forth in their home, transforming their hearts and minds, and let them walk in the truth that sets them free (John 8:32).
We stand in agreement for the church that Jesus is building, that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Raise up intercessors, Lord, who will stand in the gap and pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
We resist the devil and all his works in the name of Jesus. We declare that every lie is exposed, every chain is broken, and every stronghold is torn down. We pray for wisdom, revelation, and intimacy with You, Lord. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).
We thank You for the promise of Revelation 20:2, that one day the serpent will be bound and cast into the abyss. Until that day, we stand firm in the faith, clothed in the full armor of God, ready to withstand in the evil day (Ephesians 6:13). We praise You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
