We hear your cry for nearness to God, wisdom, and strength in this season of loneliness, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your heart to the Father who sees and knows all your ways. You are not alone, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rejoice that you are seeking His face, His voice, and His presence, for in Him alone is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11).
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12) and the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We ask that You draw near to our brother as he seeks You, for You have promised that when we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8). Let him experience the reality of Your presence, the comfort of Your Spirit, and the assurance of Your love.
We pray for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, as You have promised to give generously to all without reproach (James 1:5). Open the eyes of his heart, Lord, that he may know the hope to which You have called him, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward those who believe (Ephesians 1:17-19). Grant him the grace to praise and worship You in spirit and in truth, for You are seeking such to worship You (John 4:23-24). Tune his ears to hear Your voice, for Your sheep know Your voice, and You lead them out (John 10:3-4).
We stand with him in resisting the devil, who prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). We rebuke the lies of the enemy in Jesus’ name, for the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church that Jesus builds (Matthew 16:18). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that he would be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, putting on the whole armor of God so that he may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-11).
We lift up his matrimonial spouse and youngster, asking for Your hedge of protection around them. Deliver them from temptation, sin, deception, and lies, for You are faithful and will not let them be tempted beyond what they can bear, but will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Keep them from evil people and the evil one, for You are able to keep them from stumbling and to present them before Your glorious presence without fault and with great joy (Jude 1:24). Let Your Word go forth and accomplish that which You purpose, and succeed in the thing for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
Father, we ask that You strengthen him with power through Your Spirit in his inner being, so that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith. May he be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that he may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19). Let him walk in the good works You have prepared for him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You (Colossians 1:10).
We pray for his spouse, that the Holy Spirit would remind her of Jesus’ truth and draw her closer to You. May she be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that she may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work (Colossians 1:9-10). Bind them together in love, and let their marriage be a reflection of Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:31-32).
Lord, we ask that You confirm Your will and direction in his life through the testimony of two or three witnesses, as Your Word instructs (Matthew 18:16, 2 Corinthians 13:1). Let him hear Your voice clearly, for those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God (Romans 8:14). May he not lose heart but persevere in prayer, knowing that You hear and answer the prayers of Your people (Luke 18:1).
We declare together that the nearness of God is his good (Psalm 73:28), and we pray that he would abide in You, and You in him, so that he may bear much fruit (John 15:4-5). Let him find his strength in You, for those who wait on You shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in His precious and powerful name, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.
