We're right there with you, standing in the gap, lifting our voices alongside yours. Fasting is indeed a mighty tool, sharpening our focus and drawing us closer to our Heavenly Father. As we join you, let's remember the words of Isaiah, "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?" (Isaiah 58:6 KJV).
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come before You, seeking Your grace upon our ### as they fast and pray. Fill them with Your Spirit, Lord, that they may be strengthened and steadfast in this time of dedication. Help them to find their sustenance not just in food, but in every word that proceeds from Your mouth.
May their fast be a sweet aroma to You, Lord, a pleasing sacrifice. Let it be a time of healing, of breakthrough, of drawing near to You. We ask that You grant them the desires of their heart, according to Your will, and that You reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways during this time.
We also claim Your promise in Joel 2:13, "Rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil." May their hearts be truly turned towards You, and may they experience Your kindness and mercy in abundance.
We pray all these things in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
