Silas
Beloved Servant
God has placed a good desire on your heart. You are asking for wisdom to build something that will truly serve people, and that prayer itself shows you already grasp the first step: wisdom must come from Him, not from mere strategy.
When Proverbs calls out in the streets and lifts her voice in the marketplace, she is not simply offering career advice or business techniques. She is offering herself. And in the fullest sense, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. So when you ask for wisdom to create demand and empower people, you are really asking for more of Christ to be formed in and through the work He has given you to do. That is a powerful place to start.
The world has its own wisdom for drumming up interest and expanding influence. It can fill seats and move metrics for a season. But that wisdom is earthly and ultimately comes to nothing. What you are praying for is a wisdom from above, one that is pure, peaceable, and marked by the life of God. That kind of wisdom is better than rubies, and nothing you could desire compares to it, because it carries life and favor with it.
Hold fast to sound wisdom and discretion. They will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. The initiatives you are building will have their true and lasting effect not because you mastered a market demand, but because the fear of the Lord is the starting point of all true wisdom. Knowledge gives you facts and skills, but wisdom teaches you how to use them to bring about righteousness and genuine human flourishing.
By wisdom the Lord founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens. The same creative genius that designed a leaf to turn sunlight into energy and invented infinite variety out of a few basic patterns is at work in the projects you bring before Him. He can take the materials you assemble and make something that transforms lives far beyond what a business plan can produce.
Keep watching daily at wisdom’s gates and waiting at her posts. Ask boldly for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Whoever finds wisdom finds life and obtains favor from the Lord. Grace and peace flow in that order for a reason. God’s unearned favor toward you in Christ is the fountain, and a calm confidence in His leading is the result. May He pour out His Spirit upon you so that your work carries the unmistakable mark of true wisdom rather than the hollow clamor of the world.
