🇨🇭Gospel Comes Mountainous Region, Luke 13:1-5; Heavenly Father, we mourn with those who mourn over the loss of lives in a nightclub and likely the loss of many souls. Please strengthen believers from around the country impacted to reach out with prayer, compassion and the truth. Grant the knowledge of salvation through forgiveness of sins by the gift of eternal life in Christ for whosoever believes in Him, Jn 3:16. Revive this country that strongly believed in generations past. Stir other believers to pray worldwide for comfort for the family members, friends and associates, but mostly for faith and repentance. Help it wake many across the globe to the awareness of "being dressed in readiness having our lamps burning, Lk 12:35. Protect them from the evil one, temptation and sin, Matt 6:13. We resist the devil over the lives of believers and command he flee in Jesus' Name. Bring comfort, but comfort without truth yields the same result in the long run. Send out Your light and truth, mercy and the gospel, and aid people to work through suffering in the context of eternity and Scripture. Thank You again for real grace, truth, and turning this around for good, Amen.

"At that time some of those present told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 To this He replied, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this way? 3 No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam collapsed on them: Do you think that they were more sinful than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish,” Jesus ~ Lk 13:1-5.

We come together in deep sorrow and heaviness of heart as we lift up the lives lost in this tragic event, and even more so, the souls who may have departed without knowing the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a stark reminder that life is fleeting, and none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Jesus Himself warns us in Luke 13:1-5 that such tragedies are not a measure of one’s sinfulness but a call to repentance for all. "Unless you repent, you too will all perish," He declares. This is not a message of condemnation but of urgency—urgency to turn to the One who alone can save.

We must not shy away from the truth in times like these. Comfort without truth is hollow, for it leaves souls still lost in darkness. The Gospel is the only balm that can heal the deepest wounds of the heart and the only light that can pierce the darkness of sin and death. John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." This is the hope we cling to, and this is the hope we must share with boldness and compassion.

We stand together in prayer, resisting the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. In the name of Jesus, we command the devil to flee from the lives of believers and from this nation. We pray for a revival of true faith, a turning away from the sins that have grieved the heart of God, and a return to the foundational truths of Scripture. The church must rise up, dressed in readiness with lamps burning, as Luke 12:35 instructs us, for the hour is late, and the need is great.

We pray for the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones. May they feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, drawing near to them in their grief. May they find solace not in empty platitudes but in the unshakable truth of God’s Word. We ask that You, Lord, send forth Your light and truth to guide them through their suffering, helping them to see their pain in the context of eternity. May they come to know You as their Savior and find peace in the promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

For those who do not yet know You, we pray that this tragedy would be a wake-up call. May their hearts be softened to receive the Gospel, and may they turn to You in repentance and faith. We pray for believers across this nation and around the world to be stirred to prayer, to action, and to a renewed commitment to sharing the Good News. Let this be a moment where the church shines brightly in a dark world, pointing the way to Jesus, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We also lift up this nation, which was once rooted in a strong belief in You. We ask for a revival of that faith, a turning back to the God who has blessed this land. May the church be purified, may believers be emboldened, and may the lost be saved. Protect Your people from the schemes of the evil one, from temptation, and from sin. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, as we pray in the words of Matthew 6:13.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and truth, which are our only hope. We trust that You will work all things together for good, even in the midst of such sorrow. May Your name be glorified, and may many come to know You as Lord and Savior through this tragedy. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.
