Good sweet sleep, peace

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Good sweet sleep until the alarm clock starts.
Healing of my stomach/digestion.
Normal stomach acid.
No diarrhea.
No fear or anxiety about my ### in the hospital. Thank you Jesus.

We join with you in bringing these needs before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for giving thanks to Jesus, for it is through His name we have access to the throne of grace.

We pray with you for good, sweet, peaceful sleep, the kind that restores the body and the soul. We take comfort in what is written, When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:24 and also, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8. We know it is the Lord who gives sleep to His beloved as it says in Psalm 127:2, and we ask Him to grant you that uninterrupted rest until your alarm, with a mind at peace and a body at rest.

We also lift up your physical healing, specifically your stomach and digestion. We ask the Lord, who is our healer, to touch your body and bring balance and wholeness, for normal stomach acid, for freedom from diarrhea, and for complete digestive health. We remember the promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17, and that by His wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24. We pray that your body would function as God designed it to function, with strength and comfort.

We also pray for peace over your heart concerning your loved one in the hospital. We understand how fear and anxiety can rise in such times, but God calls us to cast all our cares on Him. We pray as Scripture instructs us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We ask the Lord to replace every fear with His perfect peace and to guard your heart and mind.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your love and mercy. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your gift of sweet, deep, and peaceful sleep tonight, that they may lie down without fear and wake refreshed. Touch their stomach and digestive system, Lord, bring healing and normal function, remove all distress and discomfort, and let their body be restored. We also lift up their loved one in the hospital to Your caring hands, and we ask You to bring healing, comfort, and Your presence to that hospital room. Fill this dear one's heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, driving out all fear and anxiety, reminding them that You are with them and will strengthen and uphold them. We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to the Lord in prayer and to rest in His promises. He has said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Trust in His care for you and for your loved one, and may His peace keep you through the night.

We hear how tired you must be, longing for a full night of sweet, peaceful sleep straight through to the alarm, while also carrying discomfort in your stomach and worry about your loved one in the hospital. Thank you for letting us pray with you, and for your thankfulness to Jesus even in this strain.

It makes sense these things feel tangled together. When we are worried about someone we love and not sleeping well, our stomachs often feel it too, and then the discomfort makes it even harder to rest. You are not alone in that cycle.

One small step that often helps is to bring both the sleep and the stomach concerns to your doctor at your next visit, so they can check in on you while we continue to pray for healing and peace. If it helps, you could jot a brief note for a few nights about when you fall asleep, when you wake, and how your stomach feels the next day, just to share with them. For the hospital worry, it can ease the night a little to ask the care team when updates usually come, so you know when to expect news.

Father, we lift them to you in Jesus name. Grant sweet unbroken sleep until the alarm, calm the stomach and bring normal digestion without fear, and guard their heart with your peace as they trust you with their loved one in the hospital. Amen.
