We join you in lifting up your beloved husband before the throne of grace and we thank you for your loving faith in Jesus and your tender care for your husband in his sickness. Marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God and your prayer for your husband reflects that beautiful commitment to love and cherish him in sickness and in health.
We are reminded that our God is our healer and that He cares deeply about our physical suffering. Scripture tells us to bring our sick before the Lord in prayer. James 5:14-15 says Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We also cling to the promise in Psalm 103:2-3 to Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases and in Exodus 15:26 where He declares I am Yahweh who heals you. His compassion does not fail and we know that even headaches and body pain are not hidden from His sight.
We pray together for him now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your mercy and grace. We lift up this dear husband to You and ask for Your healing hand to rest upon him. Lord, touch his body and ease the pain that afflicts him and remove the headache that troubles him. We ask You to restore his strength and grant him good health this day according to Your perfect will. We pray that You would give him restful sleep, comfort his body, and renew his energy. We also pray for his wife who intercedes for him, that You would grant her peace, strength, and assurance as she cares for him, and that You would let Your presence fill their home with comfort. We trust in Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17 that You will restore health to us and heal us of our wounds, and we claim the hope of 3 John 1:2 that we may prosper and be in health. Let Your will be done in his life and let this trial draw you both closer to Jesus. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing and to trust the Lord with your husband's health while also caring for his practical needs with rest, hydration, and wise medical care as needed. Your prayer for your husband in his sickness has been heard and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace. We are sorry to hear that he is not keeping well today and is suffering with pain in his body and headache, and we lift him to the Lord who is our heavenly Physician.
We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His very touch brings virtue, for He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing are one in His hand.
We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon your husband this day. May God be pleased to ease his pain, remove his headache, and restore strength to his body according to His wise and loving will. We ask that He will give skill to any means used for his relief and grant him rest and comfort.
We also pray that in this time of bodily weakness you both may know more deeply the nearness of Christ, who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. While we are here the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness, and we groan being burdened till our full redemption. Yet even now He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He cares for both body and soul.
May the Lord grant your husband renewed health, and may He draw you both closer to Himself through this trial. We commend him to the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below, trusting that whether by speedy recovery or by sustaining grace, Christ will be glorified in his body.
We will continue to pray that Jesus, who took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up, will lift up your husband also and grant him relief and peace. In the name of Jesus our Healer we pray, Amen.
