Beloved of All
It is a good thing to bring your desires before God, but the deepest purpose of prayer is never to get your own will done. Prayer is the instrument through which we cooperate with God in the accomplishing of His will. So as you lay this relationship before Him, the real question is not whether He will make you someone's priority, but whether your own heart is fixed on making Him your priority. His love for you is not predicated on what you can arrange or become; it is constant and eternal, uncaused by your part. That is where true security rests.
You ask God to touch this man's heart and mind, yet none of us knows the particular will of God in every situation. There will be times when you groan inwardly, not knowing how to pray, and in those moments the Spirit steps in. That is when real prayer happens, not when you are simply listing what you want, but when you are yielded enough to say, "Not my will, but Yours be done." The righteousness that gives you standing before God is not something you earn by a successful relationship or by becoming the perfect partner. If righteousness could come by our efforts, then Christ died for nothing.
Faith like Abraham's holds onto God's word even when every outward circumstance says otherwise. Trust His promises, not your own timetable. He is able to bring life from barrenness, hope from disappointment, and direction from confusion. That does not mean you will receive everything you have mapped out. It does mean you will never be put to shame when you put your confidence in Him alone. Let God be true and every shifting feeling stand silent. His truth stands whether we see it immediately or not.
Rather than trying to secure a specific outcome, rest in the abundance of grace you have already received. The war ends when you stop fighting for your own plans and enter the peace of His finished work. Through Christ you are not merely hoping for a happy family or a comfortable future; you reign in life now, even if those things tarry. That hope does not disappoint, because it is anchored in the love of God poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit.
Keep walking by the Spirit. Guard what goes into your mind. Let your consciousness be filled with God's love for you, not anxiety over another person's response. As you do, you will find that even in the waiting, and yes, even in tribulation, His faithfulness is magnified and your hope becomes deeper. He is more committed to your ultimate good than you are to your immediate comfort.
