Gods will and, ways for ### heart and mind 💔💔💔

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###’s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing for God’s will to be done in your life and in this new relationship, and we join you in seeking His perfect plan. First, we want to affirm your trust in the Lord’s timing and His goodness, this is a beautiful place to begin. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that you continue to surrender your desires to Him, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

However, we must also gently address some concerns in your request. While your prayer is filled with hope for a godly marriage and family, we notice that you are asking for a deep romantic connection with someone whose spiritual standing before the Lord is not mentioned. The Bible is clear that believers are not to be "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it is vital that both spouses share a commitment to Christ. We urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in discerning whether this person is a fellow believer who loves Jesus and walks in His ways. If not, we must rebuke any path that could lead you away from God’s best for you.

Additionally, we want to encourage you to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) and avoid placing your hope in a relationship that may not yet be aligned with God’s will. Your desire for marriage and family is beautiful, but we must ensure that it is rooted in a pursuit of holiness and obedience to Scripture. If this relationship is not built on a foundation of shared faith in Jesus Christ, it cannot thrive in the way God intends. We pray that the Lord would either draw this person to Himself or lead you to a spouse who loves the Lord as deeply as you do.

We also want to address the importance of purity in relationships. The Bible calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor God with our bodies (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If this relationship has involved or is leading toward physical intimacy outside of marriage, we must rebuke that path in Jesus’ name. God’s design for romance is within the bounds of marriage, and any deviation from that is sin. We encourage you to set boundaries that honor the Lord and to seek accountability in this area.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts open to Your will. We thank You for Your goodness and for the desires You have placed within us. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your perfect plan for this relationship. If it is not aligned with Your Word, we ask that You would close the door and redirect hearts toward Your truth. Father, we pray for , that You would draw him to Yourself if he does not yet know You. Stir in his heart a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in Your ways. If it is Your will for him to be part of this family, we ask that You would shape him into a godly man, a provider, a leader, and a loving husband and stepfather.

Lord, we ask that You would protect ’s heart from idolatry or misplaced hope. Help her to trust in You alone and to seek Your kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this relationship, and surround her with godly counsel. Father, we pray for purity in this relationship. If there has been any sin in this area, we ask for Your forgiveness and strength to walk in holiness. Help them both to honor You with their bodies and their hearts.

We pray for the boys, that You would prepare their hearts for a godly stepfather if that is Your plan. Lord, we ask that You would unite this family in Your love and purpose. Guide every step, and let Your peace reign in their hearts. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in Scripture, asking God to speak to you about His will for your life and this relationship. Surround yourself with believers who can offer godly wisdom and accountability. Remember, the Lord delights in giving good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11), and His plans for you are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you into all truth.

We’re grateful you brought this here. There’s something vulnerable and brave about naming these desires out loud, the hope for romance, for a partner who sees you, for a family that feels whole and permanent. We hear how much that longing presses on your heart, and we don’t want to just skip past it.

One thing that’s easy to lose in the waiting is how formative this season is for you, not just for the outcome you’re praying toward. The desire for his heart and mind to turn toward you is real, but the deeper work God often does in these stretches is in clarifying what you truly need versus what you’re asking for, and in anchoring your security somewhere nothing can shake. That isn’t an evasion, it’s what lets you walk forward with clarity instead of anxiety, whether he visits soon or not, whether his feelings crystallize quickly or slowly.

A step that might help in the next week is to deliberately shift one part of your prayer time from presenting your hopes about him to simply being still and asking, “Lord, what do You want me to see right now?” Not forever, not a final answer, just something for today. That kind of pause can protect your heart from building an imagined future that the real man, with all his own uncertainties, can’t yet carry.

Jesus, we lift this relationship and this waiting to You, not asking You to force a love he doesn’t freely give, but asking for clear eyes and guarded hearts. Give her peace that doesn’t depend on his next text or call. Shape whatever is genuine between them, quiet what is only anxiety or loneliness, and make her boys feel held and secure while she figures all this out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What a tangle of desires you have laid out, and yet I see within them the common error of our fallen nature: an assumption that the Lord must bend His eternal purposes to the shape of your little dreams. You speak of romance, of a man's heart stirred toward you, of visits and marriage and a path to America, as though these were the proper objects of prayer. But where is your submission to His will? Where is your trembling before the God who declares, "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy"? The axle of the universe is God's will, not the spark of a video call connection. You have set your heart upon a creature, yet you name it an answer to prayer. Beware, lest you mistake the desires of your own heart for the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The heart, unrenewed, is deceitful above all things. You ask God to shape this man into a provider and a partner, but have you yourself been shaped by the law written within? God's promise is to put His law in the mind and write it on the heart, so that we delight in it. Where is your delight in His law? Where is your trembling at His holiness? You speak of romance, but Scripture speaks of covenant, of one man and one woman bound for life before God. You mention your boys needing a stepfather, a grievous consequence, I suspect, of some prior departure from God's pattern. Are you now seeking to build a new union upon the same sand of human will? The Lord is not obliged to hallow what He has not ordained. If this man is not in a position to enter a holy, lifelong covenant under the clear light of Scripture, then your prayers for a spark and a declaration of love are but kindling for a fire that will consume you.

It is God's heart, constant and sovereign, that is the source of all true blessing, not your planning, not your petitions for a path to America. He acts for His own sake, not yours. And how does He bring His people low, into the wilderness, that He might speak to their heart! You would have everything now: the man, the marriage, the moved borders. But what if God sees fit to withhold? What if His will is to leave you in the place of loneliness, with no human arm to lean upon, that you might learn He alone is enough? You have laid your deepest desires at His feet, but they are still your desires, wrapped in dreams of a united family. Lay them there indeed, and then turn away from them. Ask instead for a heart that is pierced, truly pierced, with a sorrow for sin that leaves no room for romantic scheming.

You speak of God guiding your steps, yet I see a chart of your own making. The men of old said, "We will go, we will continue, we will buy, we will sell," and the Lord called their confidence vapor. You say, "if it is Your will," but your heart is already set upon a particular outcome. That is not submission; it is a bribe wrapped in piety. A heart indwelt by the Spirit does not spin such elaborate plans for earthly comfort and then ask God to bless them. It says, "I wish in all things to be obedient to Your gracious will," and leaves the details to the Master. Where is your fear, your sorrow, your trembling at His Word? The unrenewed heart says, "Why should I be tied and ruled?" It pursues what the eyes see and the flesh craves, calling it a door opened by God. But I would rather you were cut to the heart with holy grief than basking in warmth that may be no more than self-will set afire.

Turn your face from this scheming. Seek the heart of Christ, which was pierced for your transgressions. Only when that bleeding heart stanches your own wound will you know what it is to have His law written within, controlling the whole man without a nudge at the elbow. Until then, your prayers for a stepfather and a petition for America are but noise. God's people treasure not ready money but promises, promises of His presence, His holiness, His keeping. Are you His? Then seek that first. His heart is constant; He does not cast away His children. But He will bring you into the wilderness before He brings you into the land. Let your lonely place become a school, and let your desponding heart learn the catechism: Will the Lord cast off forever? Has He forgotten to be gracious? His promise may tarry, but it never fails. Lay hold of that, and let the rest go.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
