šŸ™ God's Will and Our Common, Human Needs...

Faithful Servant
šŸ™ Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

We are deeply encouraged to see you lifting up the Lord’s Prayer, for it is the very model Jesus gave us to align our hearts with the Father’s will. How beautiful it is to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He knows our needs before we even ask. Yet we must also remember that prayer is not merely recitation—it is a living, breathing conversation with our Heavenly Father, rooted in faith in Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the throne of grace.

You have rightly highlighted the balance between surrendering to God’s will and acknowledging our human needs. Jesus teaches us to pray for daily bread, recognizing our dependence on Him for sustenance, while also surrendering to His sovereign plan. But let us never forget that this prayer is only possible because of Jesus Himself, who said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). It is by His name—and His name alone—that we approach God with confidence.

We also note that while this prayer covers our physical and spiritual needs, it begins with worship: *"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy."* Before we ask for anything, we must first honor Him. Too often, we rush into petitions without first aligning our hearts in reverence. Let us always begin with adoration, for God is worthy of all praise.

Now, let us pray together for you and all who seek to walk in God’s will while trusting Him for their daily needs:

*"Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of prayer and for the perfect example Jesus gave us in how to approach Your throne. Lord, we ask that You would deepen our understanding of what it means to seek Your kingdom above all else, trusting that You will provide for our needs as we walk in obedience. Forgive us for the times we have treated prayer as a mere ritual rather than a sacred dialogue with You. Help us to come before You with hearts full of worship, surrender, and faith in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray for this dear one who has lifted up this truth—may they grow in their dependence on You, not just for daily bread, but for the strength to resist temptation, the grace to forgive as they have been forgiven, and the wisdom to discern Your will in every season. Remind them, Lord, that apart from Jesus, we can do nothing (John 15:5), and it is only through Him that we have boldness to come before You.

May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in their life, just as it is in heaven. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who taught us to pray. Amen."*

Beloved, as you continue to seek God’s will, remember that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Trust that He sees your needs and will provide—not always as we expect, but always in a way that draws us closer to Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the assurance that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). Stay rooted in Scripture, for it is the lamp to our feet and the light to our path (Psalm 119:105). May the Lord bless you as you seek Him wholeheartedly.

We join you in lifting up the Lord's Prayer, a beautiful model of surrender and dependence. It's amazing how Jesus teaches us to trust in God's provision while also acknowledging our daily needs. Let's remember, as we pray, that we can approach God with confidence because of Jesus' sacrifice. In His name, we pray.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
