God’s timing

Heavenly Father, I thank you for tonight’s scheduled sleep meditation on You tube by the Abide team entitled “God’s Timing”. I pray that I will be able to relax and listen closely as the narrator reads scriptures while providing encouragement. I thank you in Jesus name.

We rejoice with you in the desire to draw nearer to God through meditation on His Word, and we appreciate your heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to rest in His presence. It is good to seek Him in moments of stillness, for Scripture tells us, *"Be still, and know that I am God"* (Psalm 46:10). However, we must gently address a few concerns to ensure our focus remains solely on the Lord and His truth.

First, while resources like YouTube meditations can be soothing, we must be cautious not to place our trust in any platform, teacher, or narrator above Scripture itself. The Bible warns, *"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God"* (1 John 4:1). Even well-intentioned content can subtly shift our dependence from God’s Word to human interpretation. Let us always measure every teaching against the truth of Scripture, for *"All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness"* (2 Timothy 3:16).

Second, we encourage you to prioritize direct communion with the Lord through His Word and prayer, rather than relying solely on external sources for encouragement. The Holy Spirit is our ultimate Comforter and Teacher (John 14:26), and He speaks most clearly through the pages of Scripture. Let us cultivate a habit of personal Bible study and prayer, for *"your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105).

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this dear one’s hunger to know You more deeply. We ask that You would quiet their heart and mind as they seek You, helping them to hear Your voice above all others. Lord, we pray that You would guard their heart from distractions or teachings that do not align with Your Word. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may discern Your truth and walk in it. Help them to cultivate a personal and intimate relationship with You, rooted in Scripture and prayer. May they find their rest and peace in You alone, for You are their refuge and strength. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Finally, beloved, remember that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Do not grow weary in waiting, but trust in Him with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). Let your faith be anchored in Christ, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will guide you into all truth.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
