These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Romans 14:4 ESV / 61 helpful votes Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. Matthew 25:31-46 ESV / 61 helpful votes “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. We see that your heart is deeply stirred by the reality of God’s coming judgment, and we join you in acknowledging the solemn truth of His righteousness and justice. The Scriptures you’ve shared are a powerful reminder that the Lord will indeed judge the ungodly, the rebellious, and all who reject His authority. Yet, we must also remember that His judgment is perfect, holy, and just—unlike the flawed and often hypocritical judgments of mankind. As it is written in **Romans 2:5-6 (WEB)**, *"But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God; who 'will pay back to everyone according to their works.'"*

The passages you’ve referenced—such as **2 Peter 2:4**, which speaks of angels being cast into hell for their rebellion, and **Jude 1:14-15**, which declares the Lord’s coming to execute judgment on the ungodly—serve as a stark warning to those who live in defiance of God’s commands. The day of the Lord will come like a thief, and the unrepentant will face eternal consequences for their rejection of Christ. Yet, even in this, we must take care not to assume the role of judge over others, for **Matthew 7:1-2 (WEB)** warns us, *"Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you."* Our call is not to condemn but to proclaim the truth in love, urging all to repent and turn to Jesus Christ, the only One who can save them from the wrath to come.

We also note that while you’ve shared many profound Scriptures about judgment, there is one glaring omission in your focus: the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can stand before a holy God, for **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Without faith in Jesus, no one can escape the judgment of God. His sacrifice on the cross is the only means by which sinners can be reconciled to the Father. If we speak of judgment without pointing to the Savior, we leave people in despair rather than offering them the hope of redemption.

Let us also remember that while God’s judgment is certain, His mercy is equally real for those who turn to Him. **1 Peter 1:17 (WEB)** calls us to *"conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your living as foreigners; knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Christ."* Our response to the reality of judgment should not be pride or self-righteousness but humility, gratitude, and a deep urgency to share the Gospel with a lost and dying world.

We must also address the verses you’ve included about not judging in matters of food, drink, or Sabbaths (**Colossians 2:16-17** and **Romans 14:4**). These passages remind us that while God’s moral law is eternal, there are areas of Christian liberty where believers must not impose their convictions on one another. Our focus should be on the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, faith, and the proclamation of Christ (**Matthew 23:23**). Yet even in these areas of liberty, we must never use our freedom as a cover for sin or rebellion against God’s clear commands.

With all this in mind, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with reverence and awe, acknowledging that You alone are the righteous Judge of all the earth. Your Word declares that a day is coming when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (**Philippians 2:10-11**). Lord, we pray for those who are currently living in rebellion against You—those who scoff at Your commands, reject Your Son, and walk in the futility of their own minds. Soften their hearts, O God, and grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth (**2 Timothy 2:25**). May they turn from their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ, who took the punishment we all deserve upon Himself at Calvary.

Father, we also ask that You would give Your people discernment in these last days. Help us to stand firm on Your Word, to proclaim the truth without compromise, and yet to do so with love and humility. Guard us from the pride that would lead us to judge others hypocritically, and instead fill us with a burden for the lost. Let us never forget that we, too, were once enemies of God, but You, in Your great mercy, saved us through the blood of Your Son.

We pray for the body of Christ to wake up from complacency and to live with urgency, knowing that the time is short. May we be found faithful, storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth, and living in such a way that our lives point others to Jesus. Strengthen us to endure persecution, to reject the lies of this world, and to stand firm in the faith, knowing that our labor in You is never in vain (**1 Corinthians 15:58**).

Finally, Lord, we lift up those who are struggling with fear or anxiety about the days to come. Remind them that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (**2 Timothy 1:7**). You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**). Let us rest in the assurance that no weapon formed against us will prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and that our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life if we have placed our trust in Jesus.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.

God's judgment is indeed coming, and it's a sobering reminder of the importance of living a life pleasing to Him. As it's written in 2 Peter 2:4, "For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment...". We must not take His mercy for granted, but live in a way that reflects our gratitude for His grace.

However, we must also remember that we are not to judge others, as Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:1-2, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Instead, we are to love and pray for one another, and let God be the ultimate judge.

Let us also remember that God's judgment is not just about punishment, but also about restoration and redemption. As it's written in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." God wants everyone to be saved, and He is patiently waiting for us to turn to Him.

So, let us live our lives in a way that pleases God, loving and praying for others, and trusting in His mercy and judgment. Let us also remember that our ultimate hope is not in our own righteousness, but in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering us eternal life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We have been lifting your prayer request before the Lord with hearts burdened for the weight of God’s coming judgment and the urgency of His righteousness. The Scriptures you shared remind us all of the solemn truth that our God is both just and merciful—a God who will one day separate the righteous from the unrighteous, yet calls His people to walk in humility, love, and discernment until that day. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s wisdom and protection over His people as we await His perfect timing.

If the Lord has granted you clarity, conviction, or peace regarding the matters weighing on your heart, we would be deeply encouraged to hear your praise report. His Word never returns void, and we trust He is at work even now, refining His church and preparing His saints for the days ahead. Should you still feel the need for continued prayer—whether for personal strength, discernment in these last days, or intercession for the lost—we invite you to share your request again. We remain steadfast in praying for God’s will to be done, for His people to walk in holiness, and for the lost to turn to Him before it is too late.

May the Lord bless you richly as you seek His face and cling to the hope we have in Christ Jesus, who alone is our righteousness and our shield. We continue to ask that He fills you with His peace, guards your heart against fear or discouragement, and uses you mightily for His kingdom. In Jesus Name.
