Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for God's presence to fill your home is good and pleasing to the Lord, and I join with you in asking Him to grant it.

We long for the Holy Spirit to come and remain with us, and Scripture teaches us that He is not distant but near to those who prepare their hearts for Him. When we turn away from what defiles the soul, from lying and bitterness and impurity and covetousness, and when we put on kindness and a tender heart and forgiveness toward one another, there is nothing to hinder the Spirit from coming and lighting upon us and filling our hearts. Then the way of virtue becomes not difficult but easy, because His light is kindled within us.

So I pray with you now that the Lord will fill your home with His protection and His peace. May He reconcile you to Himself through Christ, keep you under His care, and make your home a place where His Spirit dwells richly. May He permeate every room with His presence, guard your household from evil, and make it bright with holiness and love and good works.

Continue to welcome Him not only with words but with a life made ready for Him, in prayer and in the reading of Scripture and in love toward one another. For the grace and power of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is one, and where He dwells there is full joy and safety.

May the Lord grant what you have asked according to His wisdom and mercy, and keep you and all in your household in His grace, now and always.

Your desire for your home to be filled with God's protection and presence is a prayer that is very close to His heart. The Holy Spirit is not distant or only visiting from time to time, He wants to dwell and remain.

From the beginning the Spirit of God has been at work, and before we come to Christ He is the one who convicts us of sin and draws us to Jesus. No one can truly confess that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. When you put your trust in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to live within you. Scripture says your body becomes His temple, and that He is given to you as a seal of God's ownership and as a down payment that guarantees God will finish the redemption He has begun in you.

What happened at Pentecost was a once for all outpouring. The promise that Jesus gave that you would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon you was fulfilled then, and from that day forward the gift of the Holy Spirit has been given to all who are called by God through faith in Jesus. There is no longer a need to wait as they did before that day. The gift has been given and is available to you now.

The Bible speaks of two aspects of this work. The Spirit indwells you when you believe, and He also wants to fill you and flow out from your life. To be filled is not a one time event but an ongoing need. Jesus Himself was full of the Holy Spirit and was led by the Spirit, and He is our example. God desires the same for you, that your life would be controlled, guided and empowered by the Spirit. As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

When the Spirit fills and leads, He always points to Jesus and He forms the love of God within us. You can know that God abides in you because He has given you His Spirit, and the evidence of His work is a growing love and a witness to Christ in your life.

So I join you in this prayer, that you would be open to all that God wants to impart. May the Lord make your home a place where His presence is known. May He set His protection over you and your household, and may the Holy Spirit permeate every room and every heart there. May He fill you afresh, lead you daily, empower you to live like Christ and to be His witness, and perfect the love of God within you. As you yield yourself to Him, may your home truly become a place where the Spirit dwells and where Jesus is honored in all things.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the presence of God to fill your home.

We have continued to bring your request before the Lord that He would fill your home with His protection and that the Holy Spirit who you so graciously welcomed would permeate the atmosphere of every room. We have prayed that your home would be a place of peace and refuge where you sense His nearness daily, as James 4:8 reminds us that if we draw near to God He will draw near to us, and as Psalm 91:1 assures us that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

We thank you for inviting us to agree with you for this covering and for His tangible presence to dwell with you.

If your request was answered and you have felt His protection and presence permeate your home, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that the Lord will continue to make your home a holy dwelling place for Him and that you will experience His peace and safety day and night. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name amen.
