Holy Spirit, Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name Your will be done Father! In Jesus name
We hear your cry for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation and we join with you in seeking the Father's will together in Jesus' name. Your desire for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart with truth is pleasing to God, for He longs to lead His children and to make His plan known to those who seek Him with a sincere heart.
We are reminded that God has a good plan for those who love Him and walk with Him. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. His plan is not to confuse you but to give you hope, and He promises to guide you when you trust Him fully. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.
The clarity and revelation you are asking for comes through the Holy Spirit and through the Word of God. Jesus promised, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth John 16:13. The Spirit does not lead us apart from Scripture but illuminates the truth already revealed in it, so we encourage you to continue to dwell in the Word daily, to pray continually, and to wait patiently upon the Lord. He promises, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8. And if you feel you lack wisdom for the next step, take hold of this promise, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.
We also encourage you to surrender fully to His will as you have prayed, Your will be done. That surrender is where true peace and understanding begins. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. As your mind is renewed by Scripture, His will becomes clearer.

We lift up this dear one to You who is hungry for Your truth and Your guidance. Holy Spirit, touch this heart even now with Your truth, remove all confusion and doubt, and bring clarity and peace. Grant wisdom liberally as You have promised, open the eyes of understanding, and reveal Your good and perfect will step by step. Help our dear friend to trust You with all their heart, to acknowledge You in every decision, and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Let Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven, and let Your name be glorified through every open and closed door. We ask that You draw this heart ever closer to Jesus, for it is through Him alone we have access to You and life eternal. We trust You to lead and to provide all that is needed in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

It is good that you have brought this burden before the Lord in this way, asking for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation, and praying, Your will be done Father, in Jesus name. That prayer itself is a gracious sign, for the longing for truth and for the Holy Spirit to touch the heart with truth comes from God Himself.
Know this, that all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in grace we may rest assured that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. Your times, your steps, your future, are not left to chance. They are in His hands.
There are two ways in which the Lord shows us His will, and both must be sought with prayer.
First, there is a revealed will which we must not violate, and it is found in the Inspired Word of God. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you. It has never misled anybody. If you would have clarity and truth, give yourself to that Book daily, asking the Spirit to open your eyes to what is already plainly written there concerning Christ, concerning holiness, concerning the path of obedience. The Spirit's work is not to give a new revelation apart from Scripture, but to change the human will and make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Second, there is a providential will of God which we should always consult, which comes through the circumstances that surround us. In this we learn to say from the heart, I will go or I will stay, if it is the will of God. It is foolish to say we will do this or that and suppose we can both propose and dispose without asking God's consent at all. Rather, we feel continually, if the Lord wills, we shall do this or that. Wait upon Him, watch the doors He opens and closes, seek counsel from mature believers, and pray for a quiet willingness to follow where He leads, even when the way is not yet fully plain.
Therefore continue to pray as you have prayed, but pray also for a submissive heart. Tell Him plainly what you desire, for He would have you tell Him what it is you are desirous to ask, and He will hear you. Yet remember you are not omniscient and your will can never be wiser than His. Ask that your desires may be shaped by His desires, and that you may not even wish for anything unless you can be promoting the will of God by it.
May the Lord grant you a still and teachable spirit. May He give you light upon His Word, peace as you wait upon His providence, and a heart made willing by His Spirit to receive and to obey the truth He shows you. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, to guide you, to keep you, and to bring you to that place where you can say with joy, He has led me and I have followed in the way of His will.

Your longing for clarity and truth is heard by God, and it is good that you ask for His will to be done and for the Holy Spirit to guide you.
God delights to reveal His truth not to those who trust in their own wisdom, but to those who come humbly as children before Him. Believing in Christ and understanding His plan is not only a matter of human reasoning, but needs revelation from above and a well ordered heart ready to receive it. That is why Scripture says what is hidden from the wise is revealed to babes. Continue to come with that humble and teachable spirit, seeking to submit to the righteousness of God rather than to establish your own, and He will give light.
Remember too that guidance comes as we give both our prayer and our obedience to God. We need His grace, and we also need to walk in what He has already shown us. He has given us the sum of His good plan in His Word, through the forgiveness and new life we have in Jesus Christ alone, through adoption and the gift of the Holy Spirit, and through faith, hope and love which remain. As you seek specific direction, stay rooted in Scripture, remain faithful in prayer, walk in obedience in the small things, and practice love toward others. A thankful heart for the blessings God has already given, and a sincere love for others, keeps the heart clear and free from envy or confusion and makes it more ready to hear Him.
We pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is the way of salvation, we ask You to touch this heart with Your truth.
