God's plan

We join you in this beautiful cry for understanding and for the Father's will to be done and we stand with you in Jesus' name asking for clarity, truth, guidance and revelation by the Holy Spirit.

It is the heart of God to give wisdom to His children when we ask Him. We are encouraged that you have come in the name of Jesus, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And we know that it is only through Him that our prayers are heard and our hearts can be touched with truth.

The desire to know God's plan is a godly desire. We are reminded of His promise, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. His plans for you are good, and He delights to guide you. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

When we need clarity we can ask confidently, for it is written, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We also cling to the promise concerning the Holy Spirit, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. John 16:13. He is the one who opens our eyes, softens our hearts, and reveals the Father's will as we seek Him through the Word. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105. And, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Scriptures, to be still before Him and to allow His Spirit to transform your mind. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. As you wait on Him, He will give understanding in His perfect timing, not always all at once, but step by step as you walk by faith.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank You for this seeking heart. We ask that You touch this heart with Your truth by Your Holy Spirit. Pour out wisdom and revelation and give a clear understanding of Your plan and Your will. Quiet every confusion and anxious thought and let Your peace guard this heart and mind. Lead and guide in every decision, open the eyes to see Your way, and give courage to follow it in obedience. Let Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven, for Your glory. We ask that You make Your path plain and that You be close and speak through Your Word. We trust that You hear us because we pray in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, our hope and our truth. Amen.

We hear the hunger in your prayer for clarity and truth, and for the Holy Spirit to make God's will real in your heart. That desire to say "Your will be done, Father" and mean it is a good place to be, even when the answers still feel unclear.

One thing that has helped many of us is realizing guidance is often less about finding one hidden blueprint and more about walking closely with God as He shapes our ability to decide well. He has already shown us so much about who He is and how He wants us to live, and He also gave each of us gifts, interests, and limits, and He puts wise people around us to help us see more clearly. Paying attention to all of those together, in prayer and in His Word, is often how His direction becomes steady over time, not just through a single feeling or impression.

A simple next step that may help this week is to take the one area where you most want revelation and bring it before the Lord daily without rushing. As you do, jot down what you are learning about His character and His general ways, and invite one or two mature believers who know you well to listen and share what they see in you. That kind of unhurried seeking and honest conversation often brings the peace and perspective we need.

Father, we ask You to touch our brother's heart with Your truth by Your Holy Spirit. Give clarity where there is confusion, and help him to recognize Your leading and to trust You with what is still unseen. Make Your will welcome in his life and draw him closer to You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer is itself a gracious evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, for the cry, Thy will be done, Father, is not born of nature but of grace. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human action, so we may rest assured that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy.

You ask for truth and clarity and revelation, and for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart. Know this, that the Holy Spirit does not come to magnify trifles or to set His seal to our own notions, but He glorifies Christ. He will take of what is Christ's and show it to you. He deals with feeble men and simple minds, and His delight is to show you Christ Himself, His person, His finished work, His engagements to save sinners, that you may find joy and peace. Until the Holy Spirit visits us we are dead in trespasses and sins, for He is the Author of all spiritual life. The question put to every believer is, Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed, and do you live in Him and give yourself up fully to His anointing. Without Him there is no life and force and power, and we utterly fail, but with Him the things of God concerning Christ Jesus are confirmed with attesting power.

This is also why we must pray in the Holy Spirit and not grieve Him. The Spirit is grieved by unbelief and by unholiness of life, when we walk not according to the Gospel. He is tender and will not tarry where He is vexed, and if we grieve Him we lose for a season the sense of His seal upon us as children of God. But when the will of man is sweetly influenced by the Spirit, that will which was in bondage to Satan is made free to the service of God. Though the will of man is not ignored, the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Therefore hear what the Holy Spirit says, Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. Today is the set time for hearing His voice while He speaks. Bring your prayers into the crucible of praying in the Holy Spirit, for He is willing to help you to pray and to tell you how to pray. Our will when the Holy Spirit influences it becomes the indicator of God's will, and the prayers He works in us are the shadow of coming blessings.

May the Lord grant your request according to His abundant mercy. May He give you understanding and clarity, not by curious speculations, but by taking the things of Christ and declaring them to you, that your heart may be touched with the truth and established in it. May He keep you from grieving His Spirit, and lead you to purge all that is contrary to His Word, that His power may be manifest in you. May He make you willing to do His will, and teach you to rest in this, that salvation is of the Lord and that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, to the glory of Christ alone, in whose name we ask it. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for understanding and clarity and truth is itself a sign that God is at work in your heart, and it is good to bring this desire before the Father in the name of Jesus.

God does not leave those who seek Him in confusion. His will and His truth have been made known most clearly in Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, and in the Scriptures which the Holy Spirit inspired. The Spirit still touches the heart today, not to give a new truth apart from Christ, but to open our eyes to understand what God has already revealed and to help us walk in it.

Scripture teaches that revelation is given to humble hearts. Those who come as children, willing to be taught and to submit to God rather than to establish their own wisdom, are the ones to whom the Father reveals His Son. So continue to come with humility, asking not only to know but to obey. Grace is not found by prayer without obedience, nor by effort without prayer. We need both, our own willing response and God’s grace to sustain us.

As you pray for guidance, keep these practices together:

Seek the Lord daily in His Word, for there you find His will made plain. Pray continually and with thankfulness, not only for your own needs but with a grateful heart for all that God has done. Obey what you already know to be true, and trust that as you are faithful in the small things, God will make the next step clear. Wait with patience, for faith and hope and love remain and are greater than any immediate sign.

Let us pray together:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I ask that You touch this heart with Your truth. By Your Holy Spirit, grant clarity where there is confusion, and wisdom where there is uncertainty. Help Your child to know Your will and to love it, to hear Your voice in Scripture and to follow it with obedience. Guard this heart in humility and keep it from pride, and form in it faith and love that endures. Let Your will be done, as You know what is best. Grant peace in trusting You, and strength to walk faithfully each day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Continue to seek Him, to read His Word, to pray, and to walk in what He shows you. God is faithful to guide those who seek Him with a sincere and humble heart.

Your cry for understanding, clarity, truth and guidance is one that God delights to answer. He is not a God who hides His will or seals up His truth so you cannot find it. The very word revelation means an unveiling, a taking away of the covering. What God gave to Jesus Christ to show to His servants, He sent by His angel to John, so that His people would know Him and know what is to come. He wants to make Himself known to you.

At the center of all that God is revealing is Jesus Himself. He is seen as the one who watches over His people, who will come as King of kings and Lord of lords, and who alone was worthy to take the scroll and open its seals because He was slain and has redeemed us. To seek God's plan is ultimately to seek to see Jesus more clearly. When you ask for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart with truth, you are asking for exactly what the Spirit desires to do, which is to conform you to the image of Christ, so that you will love as He loves, forgive as He forgives, and be His faithful witness in this world, reflecting what He is as He reflected the Father.

You can trust His guidance as you seek His will. The Scripture says the steps of a righteous person are ordered by the Lord and He delights in his way, and that if you acknowledge Him in all your ways He will direct your paths. When His hand is on your life, there are no mere coincidences. He is leading, even when you cannot yet see the whole way forward. His judgments and His ways are righteous, and though many worry whether God will be fair, heaven itself declares that He is perfectly just and true.

So continue to ask, as you have, for His will to be done as it is in heaven. Pray that the Lord would open your heart to receive what He unveils, that you would hear His voice and open the door to Him, for He has promised that whoever comes to Him He will not cast out. Fear not the trials that come in this world, for He has promised to be with those who are faithful, and to give life to those who trust Him.

I pray that the Father will answer your prayer in Jesus' name, that the Holy Spirit will fill your heart with the truth of Christ, give you clear understanding of His will for you, and form you more and more into His likeness as you walk with Him day by day.
