Holy Spirit, Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name Your will be done Father! In Jesus name
We join with you in seeking God's perfect will and we praise God that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We hear your heart crying out for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation, and we know that God delights to give wisdom to those who ask Him. We are reminded that His plans for us are good and full of hope, as it is written, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We do not need to walk in confusion or darkness, for His Word promises to lead us.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him with your whole heart, to remain in His Word and in prayer, and to wait quietly for the Holy Spirit to speak. Jesus promised, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth John 16:13. The Holy Spirit will indeed touch your heart with truth as you surrender to Him. We are also taught, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You on behalf of this precious heart that longs to know Your plan. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them and touch their heart with Your truth. Remove all confusion, doubt and fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Reveal Your will clearly, Lord, and give them eyes to see and ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying. We pray that You will guide them step by step, for You have said, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path Psalm 119:105. Help them to trust not in their own understanding but to acknowledge You in all their ways, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose Romans 8:28. We surrender this situation to You and pray, Your will be done, Father, in their life as it is in heaven. Give them patience to wait on Your perfect timing and faith to follow where You lead. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Your longing for clarity and truth and guidance is a prayer which God delights to hear, for He is a God who reveals His will to those who seek Him with a sincere heart.
Know this, that all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in grace we may rest assured that He is King, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. It is consistent with the universal experience of all His people that salvation is of God's will, not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. The work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure.
You ask for revelation, and I point you first to that revealed will which we must not violate. While many of God's purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will made plain in Holy Scripture. Believe in this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you. It has never misled anybody. There you will find the truth you seek, for God's Word is preserved century after century that you might know His mind. Do not look for a voice apart from it, but search the Scriptures, where Christ is set forth as the sum and substance of every promise.
There is also a providential will of God which we should always consult, that guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround us. The wise man does not say, we will go, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain, as if he could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. Rather he says, If the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that. Whether you go or stay, let it be with this upon your heart, if it be the will of God. You need not always say it with the lips, yet you will always feel it in the heart.
Therefore pray as you have prayed, Your will be done, Father, and pray it in the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access. Ask the Holy Spirit to make you willing to receive what He shows you, for whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. He will not save you against your will, but He will sweetly incline your will to His own. Bring your desire before the Savior and tell Him plainly what you would have Him do for you. He hears you and will answer not always according to your asking, but according to His wisdom and love, which are infinitely better.
Be much in prayer, be much in the Word, and watch the openings of Providence. He will bestow upon you all good things, and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. His promises are all shalls and wills, and what He has promised He will perform.

Your prayer for understanding and clarity is heard, and it is good that you seek truth and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you and for the Father's will to be done in Jesus name.
God desires to give you wisdom and to make His plan known as you seek Him. Scripture teaches that God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also make a way through it so that you can endure. His ability and gracious influence meet you as you draw near to Him with a willing heart.
Remember that the Christian life needs both prayer and obedience together. We do not pray without also walking in His ways, and we do not trust in our own works without prayer. We need both our own part and God's part, and even when we grow in faith we still need His grace every day. Continue to pray as you are doing, and also give yourself to what God has already clearly revealed in His Word, through repentance, faith in Christ alone for salvation, sanctification, and love for others.
You have already received great gifts in Christ through faith, remission of sins, adoption, participation of the Spirit, and the promise of eternal life. Hold fast to the things that remain, faith, hope, and love, and let love be genuine among the people of God. Give thanks not only for your own blessings but also for the good God does for others, for thankfulness drives away envy and strengthens love.
I pray that the Lord will touch your heart with truth, open your eyes to His Word, and give you a clear mind to discern His will. May He grant you revelation according to His wisdom, steady guidance for each step, and peace as you trust His faithful care. May you seek Him daily in Scripture and prayer, obey what He shows you, and rest in the knowledge that His plan is for your good and His glory through Jesus Christ.

Your prayer for understanding and clarity and truth is heard, and it is exactly the kind of prayer God delights to answer. He is not a God who seals things up and hides Himself. The very word that is translated revelation means an unveiling, a taking the wraps off. What God gave through Jesus Christ and signified by His angel to John was not meant to confuse but to reveal. And that is His heart toward you as well. He wants to unveil His Son to you.
Throughout that unveiling the central figure is Jesus Christ Himself. You see Him as He walks among His people and oversees His church, and you see Him as the coming King of kings and Lord of lords. John received that revelation as an angel guided him and elders spoke to him and the Lord Jesus Himself spoke to him. In the same way, the Holy Spirit wants to guide you into truth by showing you Jesus more clearly. When you see Him, clarity about God's plan begins to come, because God's plan is centered in Christ.
That helps answer what God's will is for your life. His purpose is to conform you to the image of Christ by the work of the Spirit within you, so that you begin to respond as He responds, to love as He loves, to forgive as He forgave. He wants to make you His representative, a true and faithful witness of what He is, just as Jesus was the faithful witness of the Father. The Psalm said God would not leave His Holy One to see corruption, and Jesus rose and lives, so that His life can now be formed in you. That is the truth the Spirit wants to touch your heart with.
You can trust His guidance because His judgments and His ways are righteous. Heaven itself continually declares the righteousness of His judgments, and the question many carry about whether God will be fair is answered there. He will be fair. He is righteous in all He does. In this world Jesus said you will have tribulation, yet He has not left you without hope. He stands at the door and says if anyone will open the door He will come in. No matter how unworthy or unclean you may feel, if you open your heart He will enter and fellowship with you. Keep His word and do not deny His name, and He will keep you and lead you.
So pray as you have prayed, Your will be done, Father, and know that His will being done on earth as it is in heaven is the sure future toward which He is moving all things. He has shown the things which have been seen and the things which are and the things which will be afterward, and He invites you to be with Him. Ask the Spirit daily to show you Jesus from the Scriptures, to light a fire again in your heart through His word, and to make you more like Christ in your thoughts and actions. As you walk with Him in that simple, faithful way, He will give you the guidance and revelation you need, step by step.
