Holy Spirit, Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name Your will be done Father! In Jesus name
We join with you in seeking the Father's will and we thank God that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
Your cry for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation is one that God delights to answer. He does not leave His children to wander in confusion, but promises to lead us Himself. We are encouraged by your surrender in praying Your will be done Father, for that is the heart that God can truly guide.
The Scripture assures us of His good plan for us when it says Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And we are told how to walk into that plan in Prov 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When we lack wisdom or clarity, we have a sure promise in Jas 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
The Holy Spirit whom you have asked to touch your heart is the very One Jesus promised to guide us. John 16:13 says However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. He does this most clearly through the truth of God's Word and through a heart that is daily surrendered and obedient. God also gives us this tender promise in Ps 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
We encourage you to continue to dwell in the Word daily, to pray and to wait quietly before the Lord, and to be faithful in the small things He has already shown you. Clarity often comes as we obey what we already know to be true, and as we seek godly counsel from mature believers.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this heart that is hungry for Your truth. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them in a fresh way and touch their heart with Your truth. Remove all confusion and fear and grant clear understanding and revelation according to Your perfect will. Help them to trust You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, but to acknowledge You in every way. Speak clearly through Your Word, guide every step, and let Your will be done in their life as it is in heaven. Give them peace as they wait on You and confidence that You are directing their paths. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Your prayer is itself a token of grace, for the heart that cries, Thy will be done Father, has already begun to be taught of God. You ask for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation, and for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart, and this is a desire which the Lord delights to answer, though He answers it in His own wise way.
Know this, that as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, and as certainly as His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. You may therefore rest in this, that you are not left to chance, but are under the care of One who is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy.
If you would know His will, you must look first to His revealed will which we must not violate. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. Nine times out of ten, look to the Ten Commandments and you will at least know what you must not do, and knowing what you must not do, you will be able to conclude what you may do. There are wonderfully plain directions in God's Word as to all manner of circumstances and conditions. Do not be as those who say, We will go, we will do this or that, and have not asked God's consent at all, but rather say in your heart, I will go, or I will stay, if it is the will of God.
There is also a providential will of God which we should always consult, guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround us, with which believers become familiar as they walk near to God. If you live near to God, He will say things to you that He will not tell to others. Yield therefore to His superior judgment, lay aside debate and mere reasoning, and bow with submission to His will, for by that very bowing we are furnished with unerring guidance.
Remember also that salvation and all grace is of God's will, not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. Though the will of man is not ignored, and men are not saved against their wills, the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure. Pray then not only for light to see the way, but for a heart made willing to walk in it.
Whatever your desire may be, He will hear you and attend to it. You are not omniscient and therefore your will can never be wiser than His, but you are His child and therefore your desire shall be very prevalent with Him. Tell Him plainly what you would have Him do for you, and let the riches of His glory, rather than the meanness of your estate, measure the compass of your requests. He who has promised, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory, will not leave His purpose half accomplished.
May the Lord grant you a still and submissive spirit to feel ever, if the Lord wills, and to prove that guidance day by day. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and may that grace be upon the last page of your life as it is upon the last page of your Bible, till faith gives place to sight.

Your longing for understanding and truth is itself a good gift from God, and I thank Him that you have brought this desire into prayer and asked that His will be done.
God delights to reveal His truth, but He reveals it to humble hearts. As Christ said, the Father has hidden these things from the wise in their own eyes and revealed them to babes. If we come with pride, seeking to establish our own wisdom, our eyes remain closed. If we come as little children, lowly and teachable before Him, He opens our understanding. So ask not only for knowledge, but for humility to receive it, and for a willingness to be led wherever the truth points, even when it corrects us.
You ask the Holy Spirit to touch your heart, and that is right to ask. Yet remember that we need both our part and God's part if we are to be saved and guided. Prayer without obedience is empty, and effort without prayer is fruitless. Grace has already freed us from far greater evils through Christ alone, and having made us His friends, He will surely help us in lesser things as we walk with Him. Therefore pray continually, and also do what you already know to be His will. Read the Scriptures daily, obey what is plain there, turn from what He calls sin, and practice what He calls good. In this faithful obedience, clarity grows.
Do not be discouraged if the answer comes through weakness or trial. Sometimes God allows affliction to teach us what ease cannot, and His strength is made perfect when we gladly acknowledge our weakness and depend on Him. What seems now to be confusion may become, in the world to come and even in this life, the very means by which you see His wisdom more clearly.
Seek also to grow in love, for love is the mark of Christ's disciples and greater than all other gifts. Give thanks not only for your own blessings but for the good He shows to others, for thankfulness destroys envy and makes love genuine. Show charity even to those who have done wrong, as God has shown charity to us. When love and thankfulness fill the heart, the eye becomes clearer to see God's plan.
I pray for you now, that the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, by the Holy Spirit, will grant you wisdom, steady your heart in His Word, keep you from every false way, and lead you step by step into the truth you seek. May He give you grace to both pray and obey, to be humble and to be faithful, until His perfect will is made plain to you.
