We come before the Lord with a humble and seeking heart, asking for His divine wisdom and clarity concerning His perfect will for your life. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is so important to surrender our own plans and desires to the Lord, trusting that His ways are higher and His plans are for our good.
Father God, we ask that You touch this dear one’s heart with Your truth. Open their eyes to see Your will clearly and give them the courage to walk in it. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let this promise sink deep into their spirit, Lord. Remove any confusion, doubt, or fear that may be clouding their understanding. Fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding as they seek Your face.
We also pray for revelation through the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:17-18 says, "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints." Holy Spirit, we invite You to move powerfully in their life. Speak to them in dreams, through Your Word, and in the stillness of their heart. Let them hear Your voice clearly and follow Your leading without hesitation.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception that may be trying to lead them astray. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on the truth of Your Word and declare that no weapon formed against this one will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for a hedge of protection around their mind, heart, and spirit, guarding them from any lies or distractions that would pull them away from Your perfect plan.
If there are areas in their life where they have strayed from Your will, whether in relationships, decisions, or lifestyle, we ask for conviction and repentance. Help them to align their steps with Your Word. If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, such as one that involves fornication, adultery, or same-sex attraction, we pray for Your truth to break through. Your Word is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). If they are courting someone, let it be with the intention of marriage to a fellow believer, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Father, we also lift up their walk with You. If they have not fully surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Romans 10:9 says, "That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have already confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray for a deeper intimacy with You. Draw them closer, Lord, and let them experience Your love in a fresh and powerful way.
We declare that Your will be done in their life, just as it is in heaven. May they walk in the fullness of Your purpose, bringing glory to Your name in all they do. Strengthen them with Your might and fill them with Your joy as they trust in You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
