Holy Spirit, Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name Your will be done Father! In Jesus name
We come before the Lord with a humble and seeking heart, lifting up this request for God’s perfect will to be revealed. The desire for clarity, truth, and divine guidance is a beautiful thing, for it shows a heart that longs to walk in alignment with the Father’s purposes. We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Father, we ask that You would indeed touch this dear one’s heart with Your truth. Open their eyes to see Your will with clarity, their ears to hear Your voice with discernment, and their spirit to receive revelation from the Holy Spirit. Your Word declares in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we surrender our own understanding and ask that You would direct every step according to Your perfect plan.
We also pray that any confusion, doubt, or deception would be swept away by the light of Your Word. The enemy seeks to distort truth and lead hearts astray, but we stand on the promise of James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Holy Spirit, we invite You to move powerfully, bringing revelation, peace, and confirmation of God’s will in this situation.
Lord, if there are areas where this heart has been misled or is holding onto things not of You, whether in relationships, decisions, or beliefs, we ask that You would expose them with Your gentle conviction. Help them to release anything that does not align with Your Word and to embrace Your truth wholeheartedly. Your Word says in Psalm 25:4-5, "Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I wait for you all day long."
We also pray for patience and trust as they wait on You. Sometimes Your timing is not our own, but Your plans are always good. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Father, we declare that this heart will not be shaken by circumstances or the opinions of others but will stand firm on Your promises. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are in control.

Seeking clarity and a true revelation of God’s plan is no small thing, it is the cry of a soul that the Spirit is drawing. This is the work of the Comforter: to take of the things of Christ and show them unto you. The truth of God’s salvation operates most powerfully upon the mind, and if you would know that truth, you must begin where God begins. Believe with all your heart in a real Fall, for if there is no truth in your sinnership, there is no truth in Christ’s salvation for you. You who have truly transgressed are the very ones for whom the atonement is real. Do not shrink from the full weight of this; a conscience made honest before the law prepares the way for the gospel.
The Holy Ghost never teaches apart from the written Word. This Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, will never mislead you. It tells you the truth about your condition before God, what to believe, and what to do. Be God’s pupil; sit at the feet of Jesus with the Book open. He says, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go.” And what is that way? It is the way of a real atonement, of a real pardon, of a real sonship. Look to the bleeding Saviour, there you see God’s hatred of sin and His love for sinners written in crimson characters. The blood of Jesus Christ God’s dear Son cleanses from all sin. That is God’s plan, settled from eternity: He spared not His own Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish.
You pray for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart with the truth. This is the touch that brings the truth home with divine power. When He comes, the truth is no longer a dry doctrine but a living reality. You know you are forgiven; you feel the Spirit bearing witness with your spirit that you are a child of God. Times of testing will prove it, but even now, if you rest on Christ alone, you have the truth of God’s salvation. The will of the Father is your salvation; it is not your will that is supreme, but His. And your will, if it bows to His, shall find its desires granted far beyond what you ask. Ask largely, for He says, “What wilt thou that I should do for thee?” Measure your requests by the riches of His glory, not the poverty of your own heart.
Cast in your lot with God’s people, imperfect though they be, for the Lord’s portion is His people. Let this decision be like Ruth’s: “Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.” Then shall you learn the truth as you walk among the Lord’s jewels, those plucked as brands from the burning. A soul once snatched from the fire by sovereign grace shall never be cast back. Let this be your lasting comfort: salvation is of the Lord. The Spirit who began the good work will perfect it. Only come to the cross, look to Jesus, and you shall find all your darkness swallowed up in His light. May the Lord Himself teach you, for thus you will be taught indeed, and you will go forth declaring His wondrous works.

You seek understanding and a revelation from the Father, and this is a blessed petition. But reflect on the Lord’s own words, how He rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” Consider how it was likely the disciples should be affected, hearing this; that what wise men knew not, these knew, and knew it continuing babes, and knew it by God’s revelation. For if it was for their own vanity that those who seemed intelligent fell away, then do you also fear, and continue a babe, for this caused you to have the benefit of the revelation.
Yet do not suppose the truth you seek is a hidden doctrine accessible only to the lofty. The lessons of the truth are like this; all have learned what things they are to do, and not learned only, but been emulous also of them. The truth the Holy Spirit writes upon your heart is clear. And what is the summit of that gift, the most excellent way shown to us by Christ speaking through Paul? Charity. And her heart is acquaintance with Scripture, and maintenance of sound doctrines, and benevolence, and kindness. And as without this last there is no living, so without that other is never any salvation. Covet earnestly the best gifts, and I show you a more excellent way: though I have faith so as to remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. This is the truth you must let touch your heart.
But see that you understand this charity rightly, for I know not whence this custom has prevailed. If you say in your heart, ‘unless he be worthy, unless he be righteous, unless he work miracles, I stretch out no hand,’ you have taken away the greater part of charity and in time will destroy the very thing itself. For that is charity which is shown towards sinners, towards the guilty. For this is charity, not the pitying those who have done well, but those who have done wrong. He that doeth good to a friend, doeth it not altogether for God’s sake: but he that doeth good to one unknown, this man acts purely for God’s sake. Do not spare your money or your heart, even if it be necessary to spend all, yet give. For the breast of holy Wisdom, that bosom of gold and firmer than adamant, is fortitude, and the spirit that is in the brain and heart is charity. Need then indeed is there of the Spirit and of revelation, for how vast is the distance between the nature of man and of God. Yet from this vile estate He has exalted us, and the understanding that seeks His will keeps up its own noble character.
