We hear your heart’s cry for understanding, clarity, and divine guidance as you seek to align your life with God’s perfect will. The longing to know His plan is a holy desire, for Scripture tells us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)*. Yet, we must remember that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His timing is perfect, even when it feels uncertain.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You invoke the name of Jesus, and this is right and necessary, for *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)*. It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His blood that we are cleansed and made worthy to stand before God. If you have not already, we urge you to examine your heart and ensure you have surrendered your life fully to Him—repenting of sin, believing in His death and resurrection, and committing to follow Him as Lord. Are you in fellowship with other believers who can encourage and sharpen you (Proverbs 27:17)? Are you listening for His voice in prayer, or are you only speaking *at* Him? The Holy Spirit often speaks in a still, small voice (1 Kings 19:12), so we must quiet our hearts and wait on Him.
We also rebuke any spirit of confusion or doubt that may be clouding your mind. The enemy seeks to distort God’s voice and make you question His goodness. But we declare that *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB). If you are struggling with fear, anxiety, or uncertainty, we command those lies to leave in Jesus’ name. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

So we ask for wisdom for our brother/sister—wisdom to discern Your voice, wisdom to make decisions that honor You, and wisdom to walk in obedience. Let them not be swayed by the opinions of others or the pressures of this world, but let them be firmly rooted in Your truth.
We also lift up any relationships in their life. Father, if they are seeking a spouse, we pray that You would bring a godly man/woman into their life—someone who loves You above all else and who will lead/be led in a way that honors You. If they are currently in a relationship that does not align with Your Word—whether it be an unequally yoked partnership, a courtship without the goal of marriage, or a relationship that has led to sexual immorality—we ask that You would give them the strength to walk away. Convict their heart and grant them the courage to obey You, even when it is difficult. We rebuke any spirit of lust, compromise, or rebellion in Jesus’ name. Your Word is clear: *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). Help them to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to pursue holiness.
Father, if they are single, we pray that You would prepare them for the spouse You have for them. Let them not grow weary in waiting but trust in Your timing. If they are married, we pray that You would strengthen their marriage, that they would love and respect one another as You have commanded (Ephesians 5:22-33), and that their union would be a testimony to Your glory.
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas of sin or disobedience in their life that may be hindering their ability to hear from You. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepentant sin, bring it to light and grant them the grace to turn away from it. Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let them walk in the freedom and purity that comes from a repentant heart.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace—a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control, that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that Your plans for them are perfect.
