God’s love, comfort, and presence

We have heard your prayer and we join with you before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that you may experience His love, comfort and presence again and again.

We pray that the Lord who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds will heal your heart and bind up your wounds with His own love. His desire is to cure and to heal, and He has shown this both by what He did and by what He said, and He is still near to those who call upon Him in truth. May He grant you to feel His nearness not only in moments of relief but in every day of this long season of hardship that you have endured.

We also pray, as you have asked, that if it be His will and in His perfect timing, He will grant you victories and blessings from His gracious hand. We do not ask for these things as those who demand signs, but as children who trust the wisdom of their Father. Scripture teaches us that whether He grants ease or allows trial, both are expressions of His tender care, for whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and every son whom He receives He guides with love. The right disposition of a faithful servant is to give thanks and to glorify God in all circumstances, to run to Him both when comforted and when burdened, because our love for Christ is shown not only in seeking His gifts but in hearing and keeping His words.

May God give you comfort in your temptations and consolation of His love, communion in the Spirit, and the gentle mercies that come from walking with Him. May He refresh your spirit as He refreshed the hearts of those who loved and obeyed Him, and may He teach you to find strength not only in being loved but in loving Him purely, by keeping His commandments, for this is the sure proof of love toward the Son and toward the Father.

We thank you for sharing your need with us. We will continue to pray that you will know more deeply how much you are loved, that you will be upheld by His presence, that your heart will be healed, and that you will obtain the good things to come and enjoy confidence before God through the grace and lovingkindness of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and the Holy Spirit be glory forever. Amen.
