Shalom To everyone reading this: Hallelujah, we can live in freedom and enjoy many comforts. Yet there are many brothers and sisters who suffer persecution, oppression, violence, and more for the sake of the name of the Lord Jesus, the Bible, and the Gospel. Could you please pray for them—believers all over the world whom God knows individually—that He may grant them strength and overflowing righteousness in Jesus' name? Thank you very much! May God bless you in Jesus' name! Amen.

We join you in thanking God that we can live in freedom and enjoy many comforts, and we join you in remembering our brothers and sisters who do not have that same freedom because they bear the name of the Lord Jesus. Your burden for the persecuted church is close to the heart of God, and we count it a privilege to lift them up together with you in Jesus' name.

Scripture reminds us that this suffering is not forgotten by our Father and is not outside His sovereign care. Jesus said, Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:10 and Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. John 15:20 We are also told Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yet we are given this comfort, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:35,37 and Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body. Hebrews 13:3 The Lord knows each one individually by name, their location, their pain, and their need, and not one tear is hidden from Him.

We pray together now for our family in Christ around the world who suffer oppression, violence, imprisonment, and rejection for the sake of the Gospel.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up every believer who is persecuted for Your name, for the Bible, and for the Gospel. You know each one individually. We ask that You grant them supernatural strength to endure, peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts, and courage to remain faithful even unto death. Fill them with overflowing righteousness and joy in the Holy Spirit, that they may know they are blessed because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on them. 1 Peter 4:14 Provide for their daily needs, protect their families, comfort those who mourn, heal the wounded, and open prison doors according to Your will. Let their testimony shine brightly before their persecutors, that even enemies may be drawn to repentance and salvation through Jesus. Keep them from denying You, and let them know they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them. Sustain them until the day You wipe away every tear. In Jesus' name we ask this, Amen.

We encourage you to continue in this faithful intercession, for it is powerful and effective. Let us also examine our own freedom and use it to stand with them through persistent prayer, through speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves, and through supporting the spread of the Gospel with generosity and boldness. God will surely honor those who remember His suffering body, and He will reward with His Kingdom those who remain steadfast. May the Lord bless you for your compassion and keep your heart tender toward those who suffer for Christ.

Thank you for bringing this burden to us. We were moved by your heart for our brothers and sisters who are suffering for the name of Jesus. It is a beautiful thing that you are using your own freedom to remember those who do not have it, and to ask God to meet them where they are.

We may not know their names or faces, but as you said, God knows each one individually. Even when we cannot be present with them, our prayers can be a real source of comfort and strength to them, and the knowledge that others around the world are praying for them matters more than we realize.

If you would like a simple way to keep this prayer going, you might choose one place or one story each week to hold before the Lord in a focused way. Many faithful ministries share verified prayer needs from the persecuted church, and following one of those can help keep your intercession specific and steady over time without feeling overwhelmed.

Father, we lift to You our brothers and sisters who face persecution, oppression and violence for the sake of Jesus. You see each one and know their needs by name. Grant them strength for today, peace in Your presence, and grace to walk in righteousness. Sustain them, protect them according to Your will, and let them know they are not forgotten by You or by Your people. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a gracious and Christlike burden which you have brought before the throne, and we do most heartily join our prayers with yours for the precious saints who suffer for the name of the Lord Jesus.

The Psalmist has taught us to say that Israel was persecuted but not forsaken, and so it is with the Church in every age. From Abel onward, from Ishmael mocking Isaac, from Saul hunting David, from the princes casting Daniel to the lions, it has ever been so that those who are born after the Spirit are persecuted by those born after the flesh. Yet the Lord is righteous and He has not left His people to fall in the evil day. He shall be for a sanctuary to those who trust Him, even when to others He is a stone of stumbling.

We will pray that the Lord, who knows each of His own by name, will grant to our persecuted brethren strength and overflowing righteousness in Christ Jesus. That He would renew their strength as they wait upon Him, so that though the plowers have plowed upon their backs, they shall yet mount up with wings as eagles. That He would increase their faith, for it is faith that quenches the violence of fire and stops the mouths of lions, and it is by faith that the weakest saint prevails. When little faith cries, Lord, save me, the gracious hand is stretched out at once to catch the sinking one, and that hand is strong enough to hold them to the end.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of hosts, look in mercy upon all who suffer violence and oppression for the sake of Thy Son and for the testimony of Thy Word. Thou seest them in prison and in hiding, in pain and in want, each one known and loved of Thee before the world began. Strengthen them with strength in Thyself. Make their faith to be strong in Thee, that they may believe Thy promise intensely and act upon it. Keep them exact in life and gentle in endurance under lynx eyes that watch for their halting, and let their patient suffering be as an advanced guard that warns and enlightens. Keep them from being ashamed, for Thou hast said that whosoever believeth on Him shall not be confounded. Grant them to live by faith even to the end, as the freeborn children of God. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who died for His people long before they believed, and who ever liveth to intercede for them. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in thanking God for the freedom and comforts we enjoy, and in lifting before Him our brothers and sisters throughout the world who suffer persecution, oppression and violence for the name of the Lord Jesus and for the sake of the Gospel. God knows each of them individually, and we ask Him to remember them with mercy.

We pray that He will grant them strength to endure nobly. The Lord did not promise His disciples that they would escape evil report or persecution, but that their safety would stand in faithful endurance, and that to be struck and not be overcome is greater than to escape the blow. We ask that His grace, which is sufficient, would be made perfect in their weakness, even when they despair of life, so that His power may be displayed in them and their faith may grow stronger.

We pray also that He would grant them overflowing righteousness, that in the midst of suffering they may bless those who persecute them and not curse, showing the love of Christ. Those who persecute become purveyors of a reward, but those who bless in return show that they suffer willingly for Christ and with joy, looking to another life. May their patient endurance shame their adversaries, instruct those in error, and bring glory to God, and may they know that Christ stands by them in every peril, whether He calls them to remain or to flee to another place.

May the Lord keep them, comfort them, and cause them to share in His joy, and may He fill them with all godliness as they continue to give heed to His Word. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for your love for brothers and sisters who are suffering for the name of Jesus. I join you in prayer for them, and I thank God for your heart that remembers those whom He knows and loves individually, even when they are far from our sight.

Your prayer for strength and for overflowing righteousness is exactly according to Scripture. The righteousness we need is not a righteousness we can produce by our own efforts or by keeping the law. Scripture teaches that those who tried to establish their own righteousness by works did not attain it, while those who knew they had no righteousness of their own received the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ. God imputes faith for righteousness and clothes us in the righteousness of Christ. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. So when we pray for our persecuted family to be filled with righteousness, we are praying that they would be strengthened in the assurance that they stand before God not in their own goodness, which is never enough, but in Christ alone, and that as they hunger and thirst after His righteousness they will be filled.

Your prayer for strength is also biblical. Our strength will fail, especially under oppression and violence, but God is our strength. One psalmist prayed that God would not forsake him when his own strength failed, and declared, I will go in the strength of the Lord God, I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours only. Another psalm says blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord, who in difficult and sorrowful places finds God turning the valley of weeping into a place of refreshment, going from strength to strength. That is my prayer for these believers, that they would know day by day that it is not their own resolve that sustains them, but the Lord Himself who is their strength and who will carry them through.

Jesus said blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. He did not mean those who suffer for being difficult or strange, but those who suffer because they belong to Him and live for His righteousness. God sees that suffering and He honors it. He has taught His people from their youth and He does not abandon them in trial, and He will show His power and His high and great righteousness on their behalf.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up every brother and sister who is facing persecution, oppression and violence for the sake of Your name and the gospel. You know each one by name. Clothe them anew in the righteousness of Christ through faith, give them deep assurance that they are accepted and righteous in Him, and fill every hungry heart. Be their strength when their strength fails, sustain them, keep them, and help them to declare Your wondrous works even in hardship. Guard them, provide for them, and let them know the comfort of Your presence, that they may endure with hope. In Jesus name, amen.
