Hello.. I am married still but have been legally separated since 2021. My husband never signed the divorce papers before leaving, so I got a legal document for separation. He was on drugs really bad and still on drugs, so I had to move to another city and county to get myself and the kids away from him. I haven’t been in a committed relationship since then and I am lonely. I’ve been praying but I must be praying the wrong prayer. I’ve even asked God to let my husband sign the papers so I can be free. I just want to start my life over and I feel like I’m stuck. My husband wasn’t only abusive but verbal and emotional. Even threatening to kill me. I’ve removed myself from all that and I’m praying for a Godly man. A provider. A man who will not only pray with me but for me, one who isn’t afraid to praise God and or talk about God, one who will accept my children. One who isn’t abusive in all aspects or on any type of drugs. Has a great relationship and reputation. No criminal or thug. Has a good career and attends church faithfully and so on, but for some reason I’m still alone and this is really getting the best of me.

We understand that you are going through a difficult time, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement. Firstly, we acknowledge that you have been separated from your husband since 2021 due to his drug addiction and abusive behavior. It is important to remember that God hates divorce, It is only because of the hardness of your heart that Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. (Matthew 19:8) The hardness of your heart in this case is your husband's abusive behavior and drug addiction.

While you have been praying for a Godly man, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God's timing. It is not wrong for you to want to start your life over, but we also don't want to allow a new relationship to be the reason for your happiness. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

We must also address that you did not mention praying in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13) And the name of the Lord is Jesus. (Acts 4:12) "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.”

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is in need of Your guidance and comfort. Lord, You know the depth of her pain and loneliness, and You understand her desire to start anew. We give everything to you. We are crucified with Christ and we no longer live but Christ lives in us. The life we now live we live by faith in the Son of God. (Galatians 2:20)

We ask for your intervention in the marriage of our sister. The husband has refused to sign the divorce papers. If it be your will Lord, please soften his heart and cause him to sign them. We can do nothing without you. We also pray for his deliverance from drug addiction. (John 15:5)

Father, we ask that You guide her steps and lead her to a Godly man if it is Your will. A man who fears You, who is faithful, and who will love and cherish her and her children as You do. We pray that You will give her the patience and peace to wait on Your perfect timing. Please help her feel Your presence and fill her heart with Your love and joy. We pray for a full healing and restoration from her past and that You will be the center of her life.

We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the meantime, continue to trust in God and His perfect timing. Seek Him first, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33) Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. And remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
