We hear the cry of your heart and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, asking Him to protect you and give you peace about your name and your reputation.
We understand the fear of being given a bad name or being spoken of badly by others. God cares about this concern. His Word says A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold Proverbs 22:1. He knows how painful it is to worry about what others think or say about us, and He also sees your heart and your true character when others may not. We want to encourage you to not be consumed with fear of people, but to trust in the Lord and live in a way that honors Him, so that even if others speak falsely, your conscience and God know the truth. Having a good conscience, that while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ 1 Peter 3:16.
We also notice your prayer calls out to God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. This means when we pray we come in the name of Jesus, trusting that He died for our sins and rose again, and that through faith in Him we are forgiven and heard by God. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved Romans 10:9.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the anxiety and fear about being given a bad name and we ask You to cover them with Your peace and protection. Lord we ask that You guard their reputation and help them to walk in integrity before You and before others, and that You would silence any false words or accusations against them. We pray that You would calm their worried heart, for Your Word says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Draw near to them now, for You are near to those who have a broken heart, and save those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Help them to trust You more than the opinions of people, and to find their identity and worth in You alone. Lead them to know Jesus more deeply and to have confidence that when they call in His name, You hear and answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the trembling in it, that fear lest a bad name should fall upon you. Hear what the Lord saith to such a fearful heart, Fear not, for I will help thee. This is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden, and He repeats it again and again, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord.
You do well to bring this fear to God, for the fear of man bringeth a snare, and many feet have been tripped by it. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, as if the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth could be palsied and could not keep His own. Labor then to get rid of fear by trust in promised strength. It is not the preacher only who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid when He has said Fear not is disobedience, for He is with you and He is your God.
If your fear is of shame and reproach and slander, remember that Jesus knows this pain far better than you. He gave His back to the smiters and His cheeks to them that plucked off the hair, He hid not His face from shame and spitting. For the joy that was set before Him He endured the cross, despising the shame. Have you been ridiculed or threatened with a bad name, He can sympathize with you, for unholy mirth was made out of Him. And there was merit sufficient in His precious death to put away all transgression, iniquity and sin. Our shame is ended, for He has borne it.
And know this also, that shame itself may be made a mercy if it drives you to seek His name. We have known many who when they had lost their own good opinion of themselves, and when they had lost the good opinion of others and were filled with shame, fled to Christ and found forgiveness. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Thy name, O Lord. If God permits a cloud upon your reputation, let it drive you not from Him but to Him in humble penitence.
Therefore seek first the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other. When sin is forgiven, the Lord puts His fear in the heart, not a servile dread, but a holy reverence and awe which keeps a man from departing from Him. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and perfect love casteth out tormenting fear. In proportion as your faith in Christ grows stronger, your fear will vanish.
We pray for you now, that the Lord would help you and keep you. O Lord, look upon this trembling one who fears a bad name, and fulfill Thy promise, Fear not, I will help thee. Keep this soul from evil and from the appearance of evil, give integrity of heart and uprightness of life, and guard the tongue of slander. Let no undeserved reproach fasten upon this child of sorrow, and if shame must come, let it lead to the seeking of Thy name. Wash away sin in the precious blood of Christ, give a new heart and a new spirit, and put Thy holy fear within, that trusting in Jesus alone for salvation, this soul may walk before Thee without fear and at last be found without spot or shame in Thy presence. Amen.
