We join with you in bringing this need before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for sharing your heart with us. We hear your cry for work and for health for yourself and for everyone you love, and we lift all of this up together in Jesus' name.
We are reminded that God cares deeply about both our daily needs and our bodies. He is our provider and our healer. As it is written, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 We know that work is also a gift from God and we are called to do it faithfully as we trust Him to open doors, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23 We are also reminded to not be anxious but to bring everything to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 and to seek Him first, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33
We also want to lovingly share something important we noticed in your request. You called out to God, which is good, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 To come to God we confess that we are sinners in need of a Savior, we believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and we put our trust in Him alone. When we pray in Jesus' name we are coming on the basis of what He has done for us, not our own goodness.
So together we pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to you. Lord, you know the need for a job and the concern for health. We ask that you would open the right door for work according to your will, work that will provide and allow this one to use the gifts you have given for your glory. Grant wisdom and diligence in seeking and preparing, and give peace while waiting on your timing. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 We also ask for your healing touch and sustaining grace. Lay your hand upon this one and upon every loved one being prayed for, restore health and strength as it pleases you, and give wisdom to doctors and comfort to hearts. We thank you that you heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 Help us all to trust you and to rest in your care, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to be diligent in looking for work and to be faithful in small things, and to care for your health with wisdom while trusting God as your ultimate healer. He hears you when you call upon Him through Jesus, and He is faithful.
