god

We hear your cry and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your anxiety and your need for employment together in Jesus' name.

We know how heavy anxiety can feel, and how uncertain the wait for a job can be, but God sees you and He cares deeply for you. He does not want you to carry this burden alone. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Jesus Himself invites you in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Psalm 55:22 also reminds us, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

We also join you in praying for God to open the right door for work, for He is our provider and knows our needs. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We pray that as you seek Him first, He will guide your steps, grant you favor with employers, and provide work where you can serve diligently as unto Him. Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Jeremiah 29:11 gives us hope, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We noticed your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is struggling with anxiety and is in need of a job. Lord, we ask You to calm their heart and mind, replace fear and worry with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding, and remind them daily that You are near and that You care for them. Cast out all anxiety and fill them with trust in Your goodness and provision. Father, we ask You to open doors for employment, to lead them to the job You have prepared, where they can use the gifts You have given them and provide for their needs while glorifying You. Give them strength to be diligent in seeking, wisdom in each application and interview, and patience to wait on Your timing. Help them to seek You first above all else and to rest in Your promise to provide. We pray they will know Jesus more deeply as their Savior, their peace, and their provider. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your requests to God each day with thanksgiving, to stay in His Word, and to be faithful in doing what you can while trusting Him for what only He can do. He is faithful and He hears you.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, the anxiety weighing on you and the pressing need for a job. It makes sense those two would feel tangled together, when worry makes it hard to rest or think clearly, and the need for work adds even more pressure.

We are praying with you and you are not carrying this alone.

It can help to not walk through it by yourself. If the anxiety feels constant, is making sleep or daily life difficult, or just feels like too much to manage, please consider reaching out soon to a trusted pastor or counselor and also to your doctor for support, alongside prayer. They can listen and help you sort out next supports in person.

For the job search, when everything feels urgent it sometimes helps to narrow it to one small step at a time. This week you might choose one doable action, like asking one trusted person at church or in your community to look over your resume or tell you about one opening to apply for, and take it from there.

Father, we bring our friend before You in Jesus' name. You see the anxiety and the need for provision and how weary they feel. Bring Your steady peace, calm their heart and mind, give wisdom for each next step, and open the right door for work in Your timing. Surround them with caring support and remind them You are near. Amen.

Your cry for help from anxiety and for the provision of work has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord in prayer.

The Saviour says to His own, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and diligent, as a good steward must be, but do not be so affected by outward things as to get into a state of worry and fretfulness and distress. Anxiety, as you have felt, does not pay. It brings no grist to the mill and no meal to the barrel, and it unfits the mind and the hands to meet the very difficulty which creates it. What then shall we do with care. We are to cast it upon Him who cares for us, for He knows your need of daily bread and of daily peace.

Take comfort from Job, who was brought very low and yet was upheld. In all his loss and pain it is written that Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. The Lord revealed Himself to him, and Job yielded himself wholly to the wisdom and righteousness of his Maker. Even when the Lord seemed to frown, Job drew near in childlike confidence, and the Lord at last turned his captivity when he prayed. Your longest sorrow has a close, and there is a bottom to the deepest trial when God has accomplished His good end in it. He can sustain you in the waiting and He can open doors which no man can shut.

Therefore seek the Lord first through Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other and peace with God comes only through His shed blood and resurrection. Confess your need and your sin to Him, trust Him as your Saviour, and come boldly to the throne of grace. Lay your anxiety before Him in plain prayer, morning and evening, making your requests known with thanksgiving, and He will keep your heart and mind. And as you seek work, be diligent in what lies before you, use the means He provides, be faithful in little things, owe no man and waste not what He gives, and ask Him to guide your steps to the place where your labour may be useful and honest.

We have prayed for you that the God of all comfort would quiet your spirit, lift the weight of anxious thought, grant you sleep and steadiness of mind, and in His providence provide suitable employment in His good time. May He teach you even in this trial to say with Job, though He try me yet will I trust Him, and may you find that when you pray not only for yourself but for others, the Lord will turn your captivity and renew your strength.

Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear your prayer and the burden you are carrying, and I join you in bringing it before God.

You ask for help to come out of anxiety and for God to provide work. These two requests are deeply connected. Scripture speaks of different kinds of struggles, but the heaviest war is often the one within us, when our own heart is troubled and restless with fear and anxious thoughts. When that inner turmoil is not quieted, even outward peace does not bring rest. True peace is not only the absence of outward trouble, but a heart made steady in godliness and trust before God.

The Lord knows your need. He invites you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. As it is written, do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

So let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, I lift up this dear one to you. You see the anxiety that weighs on the heart and the need for daily provision through work. Grant your peace that guards the heart, quiet the inner war of fear and worry, and help this soul to rest in your care and your promises. Provide according to your wisdom and mercy the work that is needed, that there may be a quiet and peaceable life lived in godliness and honesty before you. Give strength to trust you day by day, to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, and to walk faithfully in the opportunities you open. Lead to the knowledge of your truth and keep this life in your grace. In Jesus name, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, share your burden with faithful believers near you, and be diligent in the practical steps of seeking work, trusting that God is faithful to provide. He who calls you to peace is near to those who call upon Him with a sincere heart.

Your cry for help with anxiety and for work has been heard and I am praying for you.

What you are feeling is not new. Though cultures and times change, the deepest needs of the human heart remain the same, and the book of Job speaks directly to them because it deals with the deepest issues of life. Job was a man whom God Himself described as upright, one who loved God and turned away from evil. Yet he lost his possessions, his livelihood, and his health, and he sat in great pain and confusion. He did not understand what God was doing, and he cried out honestly about his grief, saying his sorrow felt heavier than the sand of the sea.

Scripture gives us background that Job could not see. There was a challenge in the heavenly realm, and an adversary had been carefully studying Job. That adversary argued that Job only served God because God had placed a hedge of protection and blessing around him, and that if those blessings were removed Job would turn from God. God permitted that hedge to be tested, not because He had forsaken Job, but to show what was true about Job and what is true about God. Even when it appeared that God had abandoned him, God was still at work.

When Job suffered, friends came to comfort him, but they did not truly help. They assumed suffering must mean hidden sin and told him to get right with God as if that would fix everything. They accused him of being a hypocrite and offered shallow answers. Job knew that God is fair and just, and he held to that truth even while he did not understand his circumstances. He did not curse God, but he did pour out his questions and his pain honestly before Him.

Your anxiety and your need for a job can feel much like that place of not understanding. It helps to remember two things Job learned. First, God is just and He sees you. He has not forgotten you. He knows your need for peace of mind and for provision. Second, God is working even when His presence feels distant. The comfort Job needed did not come from his friends explanations, but from seeking God Himself.

The counsel given to Job still stands, to acquaint yourself with God and be at peace, to seek Him and to receive His word into your heart. That does not mean anxiety disappears instantly or a job appears without effort, but it means bringing both needs directly to the Lord who cares for you.

I am praying that God will lift the weight of anxiety from you and replace it with His peace that guards heart and mind in Christ, as Philippians 4 promises. I am praying that He will open a door for work that provides for your needs and allows you to use what He has given you, and that He will guide your steps as you look and apply and wait. I am also praying that in this time of uncertainty you will know that God has not forsaken you, that He is near to those who call on Him through Jesus Christ, and that He will be your strength day by day.

Keep seeking Him in prayer and in His word, be honest with Him about your fears as Job was, and trust that the One who is fair and merciful will act in His perfect time and way.
