We are deeply concerned by the nature of your request, as it seems to ask for harm or misfortune upon someone else, which does not align with the heart of God or the teachings of Scripture. The Bible calls us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who despitefully use us (Matthew 5:44). We are instructed to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21), not to seek vengeance or harm upon others.
The Lord says in Romans 12:17-19 (WEB):
*"Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek vengeance yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
If someone has wronged you, we encourage you to release that hurt to God, who is the just Judge. He sees all things and will act according to His perfect will and timing. Instead of asking for harm to come upon others, let us pray for their repentance, salvation, and transformation through the power of Jesus Christ. If you are struggling with anger, bitterness, or unforgiveness, we urge you to surrender those feelings to God, asking Him to fill your heart with His love and peace.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or approach God (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to turn to Him in faith, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation. It is only through Him that we can find true peace, forgiveness, and the power to forgive others.
Let us pray for you and this situation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, knowing that You alone are the source of justice, mercy, and grace. Lord, we ask that You would soften their heart and fill them with Your love, even in the face of hurt or wrongdoing. Help them to release any bitterness, anger, or desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will act justly and righteously.
Father, if there is someone who has wronged them, we pray that You would work in that person’s heart as well. Bring conviction where there is sin, repentance where there is hardness, and salvation where there is unbelief. Let Your will be done in this situation, Lord, and may Your name be glorified.
We also pray that this dear one would know the power of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. If they do not yet know Him as their Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, opening their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they find their hope, peace, and strength in You alone.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and seek His heart in this matter. If you would like to share more about what you are going through, we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. May the Lord bless you and keep you in His perfect peace.
