God wants to say something to you.

We hear the word you have shared and we want to bring it before the Lord together with you to test it against His Word and His character, for we know that not every voice that claims to speak for God is truly from Him.

We are reminded in Scripture to test the spirits, Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1. When we hear a message like I removed them because they couldn’t go where I’m taking you, we bring it to the Word of God to see if it aligns with His truth, and there are times when this principle is indeed biblical. The Lord does at times separate us from relationships, influences, and even seasons that would hinder His purpose for us. We see this when Abram was separated from Lot, when God pruned what was unfruitful so that what remains may bear more fruit John 15:2, and when we are warned that evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33. The Lord in His wisdom knows the plans He has for us, plans for peace and not for evil, to give us hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and He lovingly guides those who trust in Him with all their heart and do not lean on their own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6.

If you have experienced loss, separation, or people walking away, it can feel painful and confusing, but we encourage you to not grow bitter or to assume everyone who leaves was removed by God in judgment. Sometimes God removes, sometimes people choose to leave, and sometimes He allows a sifting for our growth. What matters is that we keep our eyes on Him and not on who has left. He promises I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8, and He calls us to forget the former things and to behold the new thing He is doing Isaiah 43:18-19. If He has closed a door or allowed a relationship to end, it is because He is protecting your purpose and leading you into greater holiness, maturity, and dependence on Him, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We also notice that this word you shared did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can truly hear His voice and know His will. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to believe that He died for your sins and rose again, to repent and to call upon His name, for whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, if this word is from You, we ask that You would confirm it in Your Word and by Your Spirit and give clear peace and direction. If there are relationships that You have removed for their good and for Your glory, help them to release any hurt, unforgiveness, or longing for what was, and to trust You with the future. Heal any wound of abandonment and fill the empty places with Your presence. Lead them in the path You have prepared, make their steps firm, and surround them with godly counsel and fellowship that will encourage them toward holiness and toward Your calling. Help them to abide in Christ daily, to seek Your face through prayer and Scripture, and to walk by faith and not by sight. We ask that You draw them closer to Jesus, that they would know without doubt that they are Yours and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We have been thinking about the words you shared, that God removed some people because they could not go where He is taking you. When relationships shift or fall away, it can feel both clarifying and lonely at the same time, even when you sense God is leading you forward.

It makes sense you would want to be sure you are hearing Him rightly. In our experience, a sense of direction often becomes clearer over time as we bring it before the Lord, look at what Scripture shows us about His character and ways, and listen to wise counsel from people who know us well. Inner impressions are worth testing gently rather than acting on quickly.

One simple step that helps many is to set aside quiet time this week to write down what you believe God is inviting you into next, and what has changed with the people who are no longer close. Then share those notes with a trusted pastor or mature friend and ask what they see. That conversation can bring peace and perspective you cannot get alone.

We are praying for you as you walk this next stretch.

Father, we bring our friend before You and ask for Your nearness and clear leading. Give wisdom for each step, comfort for any loss, and confidence that You are with them where You are taking them. Guide them in Your will and keep them close to You. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The heart is often tender when companions are taken from our path and it is right in such a season to look to the hand of Providence. You have repeated a word which many have found comforting, that the Lord removed some from you because they could not go where He is taking you. Whether that very sentence was spoken from heaven we must test by the sure Word of God, for the mere letter will kill until we hear God's own voice speaking in it. Put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear Him speak through them to your own soul, for His Word is as a fire and as a hammer which breaks the rock in pieces, and it alone can settle the heart.

It is eminently consolatory to know that He did not make you without a purpose and that in all His dealings with you He has the same wise and gracious end to be served. He is in one mind and who can turn Him, and what His soul desireth even that He doeth. All history is but one, and what He intended the great picture to be, that it shall be at the end. Where you now see some black strokes which seem not in keeping, these shall yet be toned down and brought into harmony when you shall see the end as well as the beginning. Will it not reconcile you to your sorrows that they serve some end. To be scourged needlessly we count a disgrace, but to be chastened where His purpose is served is no dishonor to His child.

I would have you consider also on whom you trust. Many have rested on some choice friend and found him play the Judas, and when the whole weight of our life is staked upon another it is no small question on whom we lean. If the Lord has in His wisdom divided your way from others, learn not to trust in man whose breath is in his nostrils, but to trust and not to fear. The business of faith is to trust in Christ when you do feel your sins and when you feel your loneliness and your fear that you shall not hold on and hold out to the end. Remember where God begins a work He does not ask you to finish it. He always completes His own work. If He loved you when you were dead in sins, much more will He keep and preserve you now that He has justified you by the blood of Jesus Christ. That is a matter to be had straight from the Throne by trusting in His blood, and there can be no mistake about it.

His thoughts concerning you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. You who love the Lord look forward not to a dreaded end but to an expected end, and when He puts forth His hand the fruit bows down and parts from the bough without a strain. So when distress rolls before you like the sea, cry with your voice unto God and expect deliverance from Him. He was your teacher in former days and He will be your teacher still, and though He chastens He never casts out His pupil.

May the Lord grant you grace to say from the heart, Thou art my God, for there is no getting farther than this, and what more can a man desire. May He keep you trusting in Christ alone for salvation, walking in the way of holiness which He has appointed, and may you find that His purpose stands and that you lack no good thing as you trust Him. I pray that He will quiet your fear, establish your faith, and bring you in His own time and way to that expected end which shall never end.
