We understand that you're seeking prayer for a particular individual to consider you as a potential spouse and partner in ministry. Firstly let us address a few scriptures to consider Rom 8:26. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.
Let's begin by praying for God's will to be done in this situation. We should never attempt to manipulate or control someone else through prayer. Instead, our prayer should focus on our personal relationship with Jesus. Trust that God is in control and that His plans are always good.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear sister in Christ. We pray that You would reveal her to ### as You will. Guide his steps and direct his heart according to Your will. Help him with any ungodly relationships or temptations. If it is Your will, Lord, kindle in his heart the desire to pursue a godly marriage with our sister and a godly marriage. Help them both to seek You first, above all else, and to trust in Your timing and Your plan.
We also pray for our sister, that You would give her peace and contentment in Your love. Help her to fix her eyes on You and to trust in Your goodness. Give her the strength to wait on Your timing, knowing that Your plans for her are always good and always right. She is not looking for a partner but a husband in godly marriage.
We do not put our trust in one another but in Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now, let's consider a few scriptures. If we are praying for a relationship, remember Col 3:1-2. If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. We should not focus on the things of this world, rather focus on the things of Christ.
Matthew 6:33 "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
In regards to marriage, Hebrews 13:4 says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled: for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." This reminds us of the sanctity of marriage and God's design for it.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God's plan for your life. Remember that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He is working everything out for your good and His glory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will guide your paths. If you have not done so please go to Jesus and ask for forgiveness of your sins and believe in Him alone. It is only by the name of Jesus we have access to the Father.
