We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and our hearts ache with you. The pain you are carrying must be overwhelming to bring you to this place of desperation. But we must first rebuke the spirit of despair that is speaking through your words. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 that God is the "Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Your life is precious to Him, and He has a purpose for you that has not yet been fulfilled.
We also want to gently remind you that suicide is not God’s will for your life. In 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, it says, "Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are." Your life is sacred, and God has entrusted it to you for a reason. Even in your darkest moments, He is with you, holding you, and working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
We must also address the name by which you are praying. While you mention Jesus, we want to emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in finding true peace and purpose.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, You see their suffering, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would wrap Your arms of love around them and remind them of Your presence. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. Fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that their life has value and purpose, and that You are not finished with them yet.
Lord, if they do not know You as their personal Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see the love You have for them, demonstrated through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help them to understand that there is no sin too great for Your forgiveness, and no pain too deep for Your healing. We pray that they would surrender their life to You, trusting in Your grace and mercy.
Father, we ask that You would bring people into their life who can walk alongside them in this difficult season. Surround them with believers who can offer support, encouragement, and godly counsel. Provide them with the help they need, whether it be professional counseling, medical care, or simply a listening ear. Lord, we also pray for protection over their mind. Guard their thoughts from the enemy’s lies and fill them with Your truth. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray for Your healing touch to rest upon them, both emotionally and physically. Restore their joy, renew their strength, and help them to see the light of Your love even in the midst of their darkness. Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Give them the patience to wait on You and the faith to believe that You are good, even in this.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Dear one, we want you to know that you are not alone. God sees you, He loves you, and He has a plan for your life. The enemy wants you to believe that your pain is permanent and that there is no hope, but that is a lie. The truth is that God can redeem even the most broken situations and turn your ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a friend, a family member—and share what you are going through. You do not have to carry this burden alone.
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, please seek help immediately. Call a crisis hotline, go to the nearest emergency room, or confide in someone who can support you. Your life matters, and there are people who care about you and want to help.
We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word. The Bible is filled with promises of hope and healing. Meditate on verses like Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Or Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Let these truths sink deep into your heart.
Lastly, if you have not yet given your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. He is the only one who can bring true peace and purpose to your life. Pray this simple prayer with us:
"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn away from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your name, I pray. Amen."
If you prayed that prayer, we rejoice with you! The angels in heaven are celebrating your decision (Luke 15:10). We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be surrounded by fellow believers. You are now a child of God, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
