God Reacts According To The Attitude Of The Heart

Psalm 18:25-26

With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; with the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

David had learned a very important lesson in his life. He knew that God reacts to every individual according to the attitude of their heart as we can see in the scripture above.

What's true in physics is true in life. One of the laws of physics is that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. The inescapable truth in life is that every action has consequences, whether we're wise enough to recognize it or not.

This is not just some old testament law, God never changes. Malachi 3:6 I am the Lord, I change not. Let's look at a few other verses this time in the New Testament.

Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

James 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

If God isn't reacting to us as we desire and things are going awry, it may be time for an attitude check up and a change of heart. If we are desirous for things to be different in our lives, then we must have a right attitude and reaction toward God and our fellow man. It really is as simple as treating others the way we desire to be treated.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

This law is as sure as the rising and setting of the sun, but once you grasp it, you're well on the way to a happier, more fruitful life.

What we do matters. What an empowering thing to know.

Just to add some more points to further your message, dear ###

ie.,

1. Even one acts out of good intentions though done in error, like Uzzah, he still had to face the consequences-2 Samuel 6:6-7; Exodus 25:12-14.

Therefore, ignorance does not pay even though Uzzah's intentions were noble, for God said in His word that His people are perished LACK of knowledge of His word and Him-Hosea 4:6

2. ###-she has a very sad story..she was a pawn in her father's game of insecurity and jealousy(1 Samuel 18) and a mere property of ###(2 Samuel 3:14-16), yet, she had no children to the day of her death simply because she reacted wrongly out of her own brokenness (2 Samuel 6:21-23).

There are so many other examples in the O/T where no one escapes from reaping their consequences or rewards..so were judged on the spot(like Uzzah and in the N/T of Acts 5-### and ###), and, some years later like ### -1 Kings 2:36-46.

Thank You, ###, for this message. Yes, I have a feeling that I am paying for some of my ways in the past, but I have since changed my heart about a lot of things, it will just take a little time for my healing to catch up to my ways now. I have already seen a considerable difference, when I changed my heart & my actions. I believe that I am being healed as we speak, for God's Word does not come back void, and especially when it consists of those who are trying very hard, to not sin & keep his precepts & stay in His word & scriptures, daily. LORD GIVE ME STRENGTH & ENDURANCE! So thank you again ###, your message confirms, all that I already started to work on. Thank you, ###! May God bless you and your family, abundantly, in the Mighty name, of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Hi ###, so true. Thanks. I couldn't sleep so I came here and this is along the lines of what has been on my mind lately, that God is not the one changing.
