God Reacts According To The Attitude Of The Heart

Psalm 18:25-26

With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; with the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

David had learned a very important lesson in his life. He knew that God reacts to every individual according to the attitude of their heart as we can see in the scripture above.

What's true in physics is true in life. One of the laws of physics is that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. The inescapable truth in life is that every action has consequences, whether we're wise enough to recognize it or not.

This is not just some old testament law, God never changes. Malachi 3:6 I am the Lord, I change not. Let's look at a few other verses this time in the New Testament.

Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

James 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

If God isn't reacting to us as we desire and things are going awry, it may be time for an attitude check up and a change of heart. If we are desirous for things to be different in our lives, then we must have a right attitude and reaction toward God and our fellow man. It really is as simple as treating others the way we desire to be treated.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

This law is as sure as the rising and setting of the sun, but once you grasp it, you're well on the way to a happier, more fruitful life.

What we do matters. What an empowering thing to know.

Don I thank you again for this e-mail. May you have a bless day.

Love Sweetperson. Please pray for me and my family. I thank you again.

Don, your message echoes the pastor's message yesterday on humility. Although I am not boastful and considered the absense of this behavior humility, his message and, again yours today, has given me a new perspective on humility in my relationship with others. I am, continual blessed by your spiritual wisdom, both in content and timing. Thank you and may God bless you and MerciMe beyond measure.

Dear bro in Christ

Thank you very much for the message.we need this message.to remember always in our daily life

Thank you for reminding us of this truth Don. At times I have tried, unsuccessfully, to reconcile this word to my life, knowing that I have done "the right thing" in certain situations. I'm learning not to be so quick to condemn myself, bearing in mind that God does what He wants to do. "He says Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden." Sometimes God's dealing with us is not a direct reflection of our attitudes and more to do with His will, as it was with Job. Sometimes we have to sit through the whole movie. GOD knows who He can test.
