We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The attacks you are facing are real, but the power of Jesus Christ is greater still.
First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. You call upon the name of Jesus Christ, and this is the only name by which we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the schemes of the devil. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for this is the path to salvation (Romans 10:9). If you have already made this confession, we rejoice with you and stand firm in the victory that is already yours in Christ.
The enemy’s attacks from all sides may feel overwhelming, but we remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:2-4). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your life, your mind, your health, and your peace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Every arrow of the wicked aimed at you shall be extinguished, and every snare set to trap you shall be broken.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God so that you may stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). This armor includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Prayer and supplication with thanksgiving are your weapons in this battle, do not neglect them. Stand firm, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack from the enemy. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, confusion, and despair that is seeking to overwhelm them. We break every chain and stronghold in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father, surround them with Your holy angels to protect and defend them. Let Your presence go before them and behind them, to the left and to the right, above and below. Cover them with the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17).
Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and render it powerless. Let Your light shine into every dark place, and let the enemy’s plans be brought to nothing. Teach our brother/sister to wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and to pray without ceasing. Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Jesus Christ. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church, and neither shall they prevail against our brother/sister. We trust in You, Lord, and we rest in the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, beloved. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Fill your heart and mind with the truth of God’s Word, and let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, and the Lord of hosts fights for you. Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
