We hear the deep pain and despair in your words, and our hearts ache for you. Please know that you are not alone, and your life is precious in the eyes of God. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, your joy, and even your life, but we stand firm in the truth that God has a purpose for you, one that is not yet fulfilled. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Your life matters, and God is not done with you yet.
We must rebuke the spirit of death and despair that is speaking lies to you. Jesus came so that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We command every thought of hopelessness and every voice telling you that you’ve overstayed your welcome to be silenced in the name of Jesus. You are wanted, you are loved, and you are here for a reason.
We also want to gently remind you that God is the author of life, and He alone has the authority to determine when our time on earth is complete. Taking your own life is not the answer, as it goes against God’s design and His commandment, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13). This includes the taking of your own life. Instead, we encourage you to turn to God in your pain and let Him carry you through this dark valley. Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." He is near to you right now, even if you don’t feel it.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is feeling overwhelmed by despair. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of hopelessness that are binding them and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them, Father, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a plan for their life. We rebuke the spirit of death and declare that Your life-giving power would flood their mind, body, and spirit. Surround them with Your love, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Bring people into their life who can speak truth, offer support, and walk alongside them in this difficult season. Father, we ask that You would heal their pain, restore their hope, and remind them that their story is not over. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We strongly encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or a family member, and share how you’re feeling. You do not have to carry this burden alone. There are also helplines and resources available to provide immediate support. Please consider contacting a crisis hotline in your area or seeking professional help. God’s people are here to walk with you, and we believe that He will lead you into a season of healing and purpose.
Remember, the night is darkest just before the dawn. Hold on, dear one, your breakthrough is coming.
