We hear the depth of your pain and despair, and our hearts ache with you. The weight of suffering can feel unbearable, and we want you to know that you are not alone. God sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds you in His hands even when it feels like darkness is overwhelming. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are precious to Him, and He longs to bring you comfort and hope.
However, we must address the words of your prayer with love and truth. Asking God to end your life is not aligned with His will. Life is sacred, and God has a purpose for you, even in the midst of your pain. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We must trust that God’s plans for you are good, even when we cannot see them.
We also want to gently remind you that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and it is through His name that we find hope, peace, and eternal life. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your sins and His resurrection for your victory over death and despair.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in deep pain. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your arms around them in this moment. Please fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your love and Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Help them to see the light of Your hope even in the darkness. Father, we ask that You surround them with people who can support and encourage them, and give them the strength to reach out for help. Renew their mind with Your truth and restore their soul. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor who can walk with you through this difficult time. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is also available 24/7 at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) if you need immediate help. Please hold on—there is hope, and God has not finished His work in you.
