We hear your distress and the urgency in your heart as you seek relief from these troubling dreams and fears. First, we want to affirm that your prayers are heard by the Lord, and we stand with you in faith, lifting these burdens before Him. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this struggle, and God is near to you, ready to bring peace and clarity.

We notice that while you mention "Jesus' Mighty name" in your prayer, there is no clear acknowledgment of your personal relationship with Him as Lord and Savior. Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, as Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so, confessing your sins and inviting Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation upon which all other prayers are built, and it is through His name alone that we have access to the Father.

Now, regarding the dreams and fears you describe, we rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment in the name of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." These dreams do not come from the Lord, and we command them to cease in Jesus' name. We also bind every spirit of control, manipulation, or unwanted influence over your life and relationships. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that your mind, heart, and future are protected by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We must gently address the mention of "wanted relations" that do not involve marriage. Scripture is clear that intimacy and deep relationships are to be pursued within the bounds of God’s design. If these "wanted relations" involve emotional or physical attachments outside of marriage, we encourage you to examine your heart and align your desires with God’s will. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If these relationships are not honoring to God, we pray for His conviction and guidance to lead you into purity and holiness.

We also rebuke the spirit of fear regarding moving or being controlled by others. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, "There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail." You are not at the mercy of others' decisions or the enemy’s schemes. We pray that God would give you wisdom, discernment, and favor in your job search and any decisions about where to live. Trust in Him to direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6), and know that He will establish your plans if they align with His will.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your peace to flood their mind and heart. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and confusion that has been plaguing their dreams and thoughts. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of control, manipulation, and unwanted influence, and we loose Your peace, clarity, and protection over their life.

Father, we ask that You would guard their mind as they sleep. Give them restful, peaceful sleep, free from nightmares or disturbing dreams. Your Word says in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." We claim this promise over them now. We also pray for their relationships, Lord. If there are any attachments or desires that do not align with Your will, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them into holiness. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will provide for their needs and desires according to Your perfect plan.

Lord, we pray for their job search and any decisions about moving. Give them favor with employers and clarity in their choices. If it is Your will for them to move, let it be in Your timing and according to Your purpose. Remove any fear of being controlled or manipulated by others, and replace it with the confidence that comes from knowing You are in control. We pray for reconciliation and unity with their close relations, Lord. Soften hearts, open lines of communication, and restore what has been broken. Let Your love and truth prevail in all their relationships.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw this one closer to You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that they would do so today. Let them experience the fullness of Your love, grace, and salvation. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus' mighty and victorious name, we pray. Amen.

One steady step you can try tonight is simple: before you close your eyes, speak to Jesus out loud. Tell Him you are handing over your sleep and every worry to Him. Ask Him to fill your imagination with His safe, strong presence. If you wake from a disturbing dream, do it again, no long prayer needed, just a quiet “Jesus, I trust my rest and my future to You.” This isn’t a magic formula, but over time it can train your heart to lean into His peace as you sleep.

We join you in praying that every step ahead will be ordered by God’s wisdom and not driven by fear. We ask Him to bring you the good gifts He intends, the comfort of healthy, close relationships and a home where you can truly flourish, all in His timing. We pray now for your nights to be filled with rest, not dread.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to quiet this racing heart. Grant sleep that restores and dreams that bring peace, not terror. Protect this one from every fear that torments, and guide each practical decision ahead. Reunite them with loved ones in ways that bring healing and joy. The fluttering of your soul over these dreams betrays a heart too much set upon the ordering of outward circumstances. Dreams ordinarily are the most disorderly of phenomena, a carnival of thought, a maze of mental states, a dance of disorder! Thin as the air, inconstant as the wind, the stuff that dreams are made of is vanity of vanities. To be so bound up in fear of what they may portend is to grant them a power they do not possess. The heathen ascribed dreams to their gods; but we lean upon a living God whose counsel stands, not upon the wandering phantoms of the night.

You cry out for deliverance from images of unwanted persons and places, and you lay hold upon phrases of rebuke and resistance as though you could command the shadows. But the Scriptures never give us such a method for the governance of our sleeping hours. Far better to commit your way unto the Lord, and leave the night-season in His hands. He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him. If these dreams disturb you, let them drive you to the mercy seat in humble reliance, not to a parade of spiritual authority against figments.

What is it you truly fear? You speak of moving against your will, of losing close relations, of being placed where you do not wish to be. There is a vital force which says, “You have forced me to bear this burden. I shall never be able to bear it. How shall I be sustained?” But the Lord would teach you that His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in weakness. The dread of losing your own way reveals a grasp upon your own life that must be unclasped. You wish to move only on your own terms and time, and you loudly declare you do not desire marriage. Yet the relationship of marriage, when God ordains it, is not a sentence to be feared but a covenant of holy provision where He assumes all the responsibilities belonging to that condition. If it be not His will for you, then do not let anxiety about it rule your heart; but if it be, your reluctance will not divert His hand. Far better to say, “Not my will, but Thine be done,” than to set up your own terms and then cry out when dreams suggest they might be overturned.

You ask for the reuniting of close relations and for their hearts to be changed toward you. That is the work of God alone, and you do well to bring it before Him. Yet take heed: the soul’s loss is a dreadful and terrific thing. If you could have all the relationships you long for, every comfortable circumstance, and every dream banished, yet be estranged from Christ, what would it profit? Estimate all earthly comforts at what price you like, but set them against the debt of a lost soul, and you will find a fearful loss. The one great relationship you must seek above all is that of the believing soul to her Maker, for He says, “Your Maker is your Husband.” This is not an affinity of birth, but of grace; we were aliens by wicked works, yet in Christ He assumes all the responsibility to keep us, guide us, and bring us home. That relationship, once entered by faith, cannot suffer loss or stain. Christ has completely undone the mischief of the Fall.

Therefore, cease your wrestling with shadows. Trust your sleeping hours to Him who orders all things after the counsel of His own will, even the wild tumble of dreams. If there be any message in them, He will make it plain in the daylight by His Word and providence. But do not build your peace upon the absence of nightmares or the fulfillment of your detailed terms. Lay hold upon Christ, and you will find that whether you move or stay, whether you have the faces of loved ones near or far, your soul is anchored. The Midianites dreamed a dream that was terror to them but comfort to Gideon, for it showed that God had already given the victory. So may the Lord turn your present turmoil into a testimony that He, and He alone, is the keeper of your life. Now look away from the phantoms of the night and set your face toward the cross, where every true relationship and every eternal hope is secured.

Do not let your mind be troubled by these night phantoms. A dream is but a shadow, a fleeting mist that vanishes when you open your eyes to the light of day. You cry out against what you have seen, rebuking and binding, yet the battle is not won by fearful wrestling with shadows but by filling your heart so full of Christ that no dark imagining finds room to lodge. When the vessel is brimming with pure water, no filth can enter. So fill your waking hours with prayer, with the reading of Scripture, with love for your neighbor, and these vain terrors will themselves flee away.

You plead with God about places you do not wish to go and people you do not wish to see. But consider this: the chains of the Apostle were brighter than a king’s crown, and a prison became a palace because Christ was there. If it should be His will that you dwell in a place you do not desire, do you not trust that He goes with you? He who sent His disciples as sheep among wolves did not leave them defenseless; He armed them with gentleness and Himself as their shield. The safety of the sheep is not in choosing its own pasture but in staying near the Shepherd. Do not make an idol of your own plans. “If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, live peaceably with all men,” but what is not in your power, commit to God and be at peace.

You speak much of your relations and fear of losing them. But the deepest bond is not of blood alone but of charity. “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love,” and do not wait to be loved, but rush forward to honor them. Yet remember: if any should prove to be wolves, your calling is still to be a lamb, not to rail back, not to dread their faces, but to overcome evil with good. You cannot force another’s heart; you can only keep your own free from bitterness. Pray for them, indeed, and then leave the matter in God’s hands. He who changed the heart of Paul on the Damascus road can change any heart if He wills. But if He does not, He can make you to rejoice in suffering wrong, so that no sting of grief remains.

You ask that none of these nightmares come to pass, and you do well to seek refuge in the mighty name of Jesus. Yet ask also that your will be conformed to His, for He knows better than we what is needful. The world counts ease and the fulfillment of our own terms as gain, but the Apostle said that to love this present world is to forsake Christ. Do not love your own ease so much that you cannot say, “Not my will, but Thine be done.” Our Lord loved His enemies to the death; can we not love those we find difficult? When you pray against unwanted people, beware lest your prayer become a wall that shuts out the very love God commands you to show.

Set your mind on things above. The surfeit of earthly cares brings sickness to the soul, just as gluttony racks the body. A simple, sober trust in God is true health. Lay down all these anxious lists of names and places, and simply say, “Lord, You know what I need. I trust You.” Then rise and do the good that lies before you this day. In honoring your parents, showing kindness to the undeserving, and keeping your tongue from complaint, you will find that the dreams lose their power and your heart gains the peace that passes understanding. The Lamb who was slain has overcome the wolves; hide in Him, and no nightmare can touch the real life you have hidden with Christ in God.

The weight of these recurring dreams is heavy on you, and I hear the anxiety in your words. God does not want you to drown in fear. He is not far off, and He does hear the cry of His children. But true prayer always begins with relationship, with coming to Him, not as a distant force to be commanded, but as a Father who already knows what you need. If you belong to Him through faith in Jesus Christ, then His ear is open to you. If you have never settled that, the only prayer He waits to hear from you is, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.” Everything else flows from that.

When we pray, we are not laying out detailed instructions for God as though He needs our guidance. He is not a servant we summon to carry out our will. The purpose of prayer is not to get our own way, but to get His will done on earth, beginning in our own hearts. That means we bring our fears, our desires, and even our nightmares to Him, but we lay them down with open hands. We consent to whatever He allows, trusting that He is good and that His grace is enough, even when He does not remove the thorn.

You have been focusing on controlling the future, where you might live, who might come against you, what people might say or do. But peace comes when we stop trying to force outcomes and instead rest in God’s keeping. His eyes are on the righteous. He is looking for people to bless, to protect, to deliver from evil. Not every bad dream is a prophecy; fear can paint vivid pictures. Instead of spending your energy rebuking and binding every imagined threat, bring your mind back to the promise that He will keep you from evil, lest it grieve you. The end of any path that turns aside from Him is grief; staying close to Him is safety.

Pray for those relationships you long to see restored, but do not allow fear of other people to turn into speaking evil or imagining the worst. The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated. If you hold onto envy, strife, or suspicion, confusion and every evil work follow. Let your request be made known to God with thanksgiving, and then let His peace, the peace that surpasses understanding, guard your heart and mind.

You are not meant to live under a cloud of dread. Ask your Father to replace the nightmares with the quiet confidence that you are held by a God who answers prayer. He may not always answer on your timeline or in the way you expect, but He will answer. Keep your eyes closed, your heart fixed on Him, and trust that He is more committed to your ultimate good than you could ever be.
