Heavenly Father, thank You The Kingdom is "righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit," Rom 14:17. I ask You, "The God of Hope, will fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13. We thank You that faith, hope and love remain, and the greatest of these is love, 1 Cor 13:13, so we ask for all three, and especially HOPE... Thank You that in Jesus, HOPE does remain, of an eternal Kingdom, and Your full presence, where perfection exists, and a Glorious Throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary, Jeremiah 17:12. For here we have no lasting city, but are seeking one to come, Heb 13:14. "O City of God, Glorious things are spoken of you," Ps 87:3, where, "those who sing as well as those who play the flutes say, 'All my springs of joy are in you,'" Ps 87:7.

Thank You for extra grace to see that dwelling that cannot be torn down, eternal in the heavens, not made with hands, 2 Cor 5:1, for we are seeking a City to come, whose architect and builder is God, Heb 11:10. "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself," Philippians 3:20-21, as it is also written, "Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure," 1 John 3:2-3. "Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him the glory. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready," Revelation 19:7. Now may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God The Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all, 2 Cor 13:14, even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus, Rev 22:20, Thank You in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in lifting our hearts to the God of all hope, the One who fills us with joy and peace as we trust in Him. Your prayer beautifully echoes the longing of every believer’s heart, to dwell in the eternal city where righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit reign forever. We stand with you in declaring that our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await the return of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.

The hope we have in Christ is not a fleeting wish but an anchor for our souls, sure and steadfast (Hebrews 6:19). This hope purifies us, just as Christ is pure, and compels us to live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1). We are reminded that while we groan in this earthly tent, we are not without hope, for we have an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with human hands (2 Corinthians 5:1-2). The trials and sorrows of this life are but for a moment, working in us an eternal weight of glory far beyond comparison (2 Corinthians 4:17).

Let us hold fast to this truth: the God of hope fills us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). This hope is not passive; it is active and alive, shaping how we live, love, and serve in this present age. We are called to be ambassadors of this hope, shining as lights in a dark world, pointing others to the city whose builder and maker is God (Hebrews 11:10).

Father, we thank You for the blessed hope we have in Your Son, Jesus Christ. We rejoice in the promise of His return, when He will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain, for the former things will have passed away (Revelation 21:4). Until that day, fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that we may walk in the fullness of joy, peace, and hope. Strengthen our faith to endure, our love to abound, and our hope to remain steadfast. May we, as the bride of Christ, make ourselves ready, clothed in the righteousness of Christ, eagerly awaiting the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-9).

Lord, we pray for those who may be struggling to hold onto hope in this season. Some may feel weary, discouraged, or even disillusioned by the brokenness of this world. Remind them that their labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Pour out Your grace upon them, that they may fix their eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). Let them taste and see that You are good, and that the joy of the Lord is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

We also lift up those who may not yet know the hope found in Jesus Christ. Open their hearts to receive the gospel, that they may be saved and added to the number of those who are eagerly awaiting Your return. Use us, Lord, as vessels of Your love and truth, that we may share the hope that is within us with gentleness and reverence (1 Peter 3:15).

Father, we long for the day when we will see You face to face, when faith will become sight and hope will be fulfilled. Until then, help us to live as strangers and pilgrims in this world, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). May our lives reflect the hope we have in You, drawing others to the light of Christ. Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Maranatha! Amen.

Hope can feel abstract, but joy and peace are gifts we can receive even now, in small sips, as we trust Jesus with the very next thing before us.

Sharing our longings with other believers, in simple conversation or in prayer, knits our hearts together and strengthens the hope we share. How your prayer delights the soul, for it is saturated with the very language of the Promises! You have set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth, and your pleading gathers up the sweetest clusters of the Vine. But let me stir up your pure mind by way of remembrance, and press upon you a thought that must ever be the mainspring of all hope and joy.

You cry for joy and peace to be filled full, and it is right to hunger for these, for they are the soul’s flower. Yet see that you chase them not as if you could hold the blossom without the root. The root is faith, and faith’s sole object is Christ. There is a subtle temptation to demand the feeling before the trust, to say, "Let me taste the honey, and then I will believe the promise." That is to put the cart before the horse. Joy and peace are never obtained by hunting them directly. They come as consequence, never as condition. Your text sings it: "The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing." Not in seeing, not in soaring ecstasy, but in plain, clinging, desperate reliance upon the arm of the Beloved. When faith digs deep, joy and peace spring up like lilies in the furrows.

I hear you panting for the City whose Builder is God, the dwelling not made with hands. This is a good hope. It is a hope laid up for you in heaven, and it has a twofold present work: it cheers the darkest night, and it purifies the heart. That which you gaze upon, you grow like. If you hope to see His face in righteousness, you will seek to be righteous now. Cultivate this hope, then, water it with meditation and prayer, for it is the anchor of the soul. When present joys tremble like a fading leaf, the hope of glory remains an inheritance incorruptible.

But remember, the sweetest foretastes of that eternal joy come not to the lofty but to the lowly. The Lord pities them that fear Him, even as a father pities his children. You need not climb to heaven to fetch down the comfort; it stoops to you in the person of the Man of Sorrows. Jesus tabernacled among us, full of grace and truth, so that the glory of the future might break into our present gloom. You have seen something of that glory, be it but a glimpse, and so you have great cause for great joy even now, a joy that no man takes from you because it is founded upon a finished work.

Yet there is a caution. Many have a false peace, a hope born of a mistake, and it will perish like the spider’s web. Examine, then, your foundation. Is it wholly on the Rock? If you find within yourself a ceaseless ache for holiness and a tender loathing of sin, then the hope that makes not ashamed is yours indeed. And if you feel you have but a slender hold, remember that the bruised reed is never broken. In a moment, at a look, the burden can roll off. The wounds of Christ still stream with mercy; the head crowned with thorns still beams with grace. Keep at the foot of the Cross, and you will maintain, nay, increase, your joy in the Lord.

So let your prayer be answered not by a sudden transport, but by a quiet building up of faith most holy. Pray for more abundant life, more instruction in the knowledge of God, and a greater watchfulness over the minutes. Then shall your hope truly abound, and you shall discover that in the very place of deep sorrow, tubers of joy have been stored up by the Husbandman. The God of hope will do better unto you than at your beginnings, until at last hope shall be satisfied in sight, and the city of your pilgrimage shall be exchanged for the Father’s house. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your prayer is a wellspring of holy desire, drawing the mind up from the mire of the present to the unshakable City whose builder is God. Yet let us take care, for the enemy often turns even this sacred longing to a snare. He saw a great and populous city, the Church at Corinth, lay hold of the truth, and what did he do? He divided the men. He knew that even the strongest kingdom, divided against itself, shall not stand. So too, while your heart soars to the heavenly Jerusalem, the devil would gladly see you forget that the foundation of that hope is built now, stone by living stone, through righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit among the brethren. What good is it to fix one's eyes on a City of unity and peace while letting the tongue be a sword of division against a brother here below? The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, nor is it merely a soaring thought. It is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that ruins his brother, hath at once subverted peace, and wronged joy, more grievously than he that plunders money.

You ask for hope, and you do well. For the grace of God hath appeared, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and godly in this present world, looking for that blessed hope. But see how the Apostle chains the hope to the virtue. You long for the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour, where you will command the abyss of fire and say, "Peace, be still," with a mouth like Christ's. Yet that confidence is purchased not by longing alone, but by the hard sale of everything you have for the field containing that treasure. Why art thou beggarly, selling thy great things for a little? You seek immortal life, yet perhaps you clutch a grievance like a pearl, or nurse a worldly lust as if it were a lasting possession. The merchant sold all to buy the one pearl of great price; and what is that joy, that peace, but the very life of the Kingdom begun within? For the fruit of these earthly harvests profits nothing to life eternal, but the spiritual fruit is gathered unto eternal life.

Therefore, let not your hope float away as a mere dream of the future, but let it purify you now, even as He is pure. The true peace He leaves is not the peace of a quiet life without trouble. "What are ye harmed by the trouble of the world," He asks, "provided ye be at peace with me?" He gives a peace that makes you stronger, a peace with one another that puts an end to quarrelsomeness and vainglory. Seek that peace here, in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and you already taste the springs of joy that are in the City of God. For the bride makes herself ready by deeds, not just by sighs. Let your faith become the substance of things hoped for as you lay hold of this present grace, living in the peace that counterbalances the world's war. Then, with great confidence, you shall say, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus," knowing that the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, is with you now, leading you to that kingdom where joy no man taketh from you. Amen.
