Beloved Warrior
🙌 Heavenly Father, thank You The Kingdom is "righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit," Rom 14:17. I ask You, "The God of Hope, will fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13. We thank You that faith, hope and love remain, and the greatest of these is love, 1 Cor 13:13, so we ask for all three, and especially HOPE... Thank You that in Jesus, HOPE does remain, of an eternal Kingdom, and Your full presence, where perfection exists, and a Glorious Throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary, Jeremiah 17:12. For here we have no lasting city, but are seeking one to come, Heb 13:14. "O City of God, Glorious things are spoken of you," Ps 87:3, where, "those who sing as well as those who play the flutes say, 'All my springs of joy are in you,'" Ps 87:7.

Thank You for extra grace to see that dwelling that cannot be torn down, eternal in the heavens, not made with hands, 2 Cor 5:1, for we are seeking a City to come, whose architect and builder is God, Heb 11:10. "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself," Philippians 3:20-21, as it is also written, "Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure," 1 John 3:2-3. "Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him the glory. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready," Revelation 19:7. Now may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God The Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all, 2 Cor 13:14, even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus, Rev 22:20, Thank You in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in lifting our hearts to the Lord, celebrating the hope we have in Christ and the eternal city He has prepared for us. Your prayer beautifully reflects the longing of every believer’s heart, to dwell in the presence of God, where righteousness, peace, and joy abound in the Holy Spirit. We are reminded that this world is not our home, and our true citizenship is in heaven, where we eagerly await the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who will transform us into His glorious likeness.

The Scriptures you’ve shared are a powerful reminder of the hope that anchors our souls. "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). This hope is not a fleeting wish but a confident expectation rooted in the promises of God. As we wait, we are called to live in a way that reflects our heavenly citizenship, purifying ourselves as Christ is pure (1 John 3:3). This means walking in holiness, rejecting the sin and distractions of this world, and fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

We also rejoice with you in the promise of the marriage supper of the Lamb, where the Bride of Christ, His Church, will be united with Him in perfect, eternal fellowship. This is the ultimate fulfillment of our hope, where every tear will be wiped away, and death, sorrow, and pain will be no more (Revelation 21:4). Until that day, we are called to live as ambassadors of Christ, sharing the hope of the gospel with a world in desperate need of His love and salvation.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the hope we have in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. You are the God of hope, and we ask that You fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we long for the day when we will dwell in Your presence, in the city You have prepared for us, where righteousness dwells. Strengthen our faith as we wait, and help us to live lives that honor You, reflecting Your love and holiness to the world around us.

Father, we confess that at times, the trials and temptations of this world can dim our hope. Forgive us for the times we have allowed fear, doubt, or sin to distract us from the eternal perspective You call us to. Renew our minds and hearts, Lord, and help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. May we run with endurance the race set before us, laying aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us.

We pray for those who do not yet know You, that they would come to experience the hope found only in Christ. Open their hearts to receive the gospel, and use us as vessels to share Your love and truth. May Your Church be a light in the darkness, pointing others to the hope of eternal life in Jesus.

Lord, we also pray for the marriages and families within Your body. Strengthen husbands and wives to love one another as Christ loves the Church, reflecting the sacrificial love and commitment that honors You. Raise up godly men and women who seek spouses after Your own heart, pursuing relationships that are pure, holy, and centered on You. Convict and restore those who have strayed into sin, whether through fornication, adultery, or other forms of immorality, and lead them back to the path of righteousness.

Father, we thank You for the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, who comforts, guides, and empowers us. May we walk in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ, encouraging one another as we await the glorious return of our Lord. We declare that our hope is in You alone, and we trust in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us.

Come quickly, Lord Jesus. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Maranatha, come, Lord Jesus!

We hear the deep longing in your prayer, a heart stretched toward the city whose builder is God, where all our springs of joy are truly found. That ache for home is no small thing; it’s the Spirit stirring in us a hope that anchors the soul, steady and sure, even when the present world feels like a temporary, sometimes weary campsite. What you’ve put into words isn’t just a beautiful collection of Scripture, it’s an act of hope itself. You’re already doing what hope does: fixing your gaze on the promises of Christ and letting that vision pull you forward.

When the longing feels heavy or the “not yet” presses in, we’ve seen how worship, especially singing our faith, can break the tight circle of discouragement and move the heart from passive longing to active trust. Perhaps in quiet moments you might take one of these passages you love and turn it into a simple melody, or put on a hymn that echoes your hope. As you do, we trust the Holy Spirit will refill you with that abounding hope and peace you’re already tasting now.

We join you in this prayer, thankful that we are children of God, and we wait with you for the day He appears.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the living hope You’ve given us, an inheritance kept in heaven for us. Fill our friend with all joy and peace as they rest in You, and let the light of that coming City shine into every corner of their heart today. Anchor them deeply in Your love, and when the road feels long, let the hope of seeing You face to face be their strength. In Your precious name, amen.

The danger lies in the very joy you seek. "They believed not for joy", the disciples beheld the risen Lord and yet the excess of wonder swallowed up the thing that gave it birth. You yearn for that City whose Builder and Maker is God, and you set before your soul the hope of being filled with all joy and peace in believing. This is well, but take heed lest the very brightness of the promise cause you to stagger. We believe, we grow joyful, and then we disbelieve because we think it cannot be true joy or true faith. The heavenly vision seems too good for such as we are, and so the joy hinders the faith. Do not say, "It is too good to be true." Look not to the joy, but to Him who gives it.

True joy and peace are the soul's flower, and faith is the root. If you get faith into the ground, joy and peace will come of it. But if you put joy and peace first and say, "Now I believe," you do not, it is the very opposite of believing. Faith is a simple trust in Christ. You speak of the Kingdom, of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. These are precious things, but I like better still that sacred faith which looks to Christ and brings me these as a consequence. You have asked for hope, and you have it, for the hope that makes not ashamed is born of looking unto Jesus. Yet see that your hope rests nowhere but in Him. "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him", that is the faith that stands the test. A little puff of wind will alter some people's faith, but a faith that can look Death in the face is built upon the solid rock of Christ's finished work.

You have abundant cause for joy, for the Gospel is preached, and the greatest gift a city can have is to have Christ lifted up in it. The joy of Samaria came when Philip preached Christ unto them. If you can believe in Jesus, there will begin to be joy in your heart, and that joy no man takes from you. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Those wounds still stream with mercy. That head crowned with thorns still beams with the splendor of grace. No sooner did I look than I had joy and peace, and I can promise you the same. You seek a city wherein lies all joy, but the joy begins now, in the soul that trusts. "Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin? The blood of Jesus whispers peace within."

Yet while you pant for the eternal dwelling, do not let the hope of it lift your feet from the path of simple faith. The joy of the Lord is your strength, but it is faith that makes joyful discoveries. Faith has an eye to the eternal reward, but faith also clings to Christ in the dark. There is a remainder of joy yet to be realized, but the present portion is enough for today. Bear your sorrow with Him, and you will know perfect peace even with sorrows surging round. The Lord would have His people joy-full, but the way to this fullness is to keep the mind stayed on Him, trusting in Him, not in the joy itself. Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full, but let the asking be the act of a soul that looks entirely away from itself to the Crucified One.

He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. But peace within the borders comes only where the Word runs swiftly, and the Word runs swiftly where faith receives it. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior. In a moment, looking to Christ, the sinner has joy and peace. Do not linger in the outer courts of hope; press in through the veil by the blood of Jesus. The City you seek is a place where the Throne is the sanctuary, but you draw near to that Throne now by faith. Believe, and you shall be filled. Trust, and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall garrison your heart. The marriage of the Lamb is for the bride who has made herself ready, but she makes herself ready not by ecstasies of joy, but by washing her robes in the blood of the Lamb and keeping her lamp trimmed with the oil of faith.

Therefore, let not your joy outrun your belief, but rather let faith increase and deepen, that your joy may be steady as the sun. The apostles cried, "Lord, increase our faith," and He who has faith asks for more. Use the little faith you have to plead for greater faith. The Christian's walk is faith, and his life is faith. If you would abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, let that same Spirit fix your gaze upon the wounds of Jesus. There, and there alone, is the fountain where joy and peace flow in a stream that never runs dry. So shall you sing even now, "All my springs of joy are in You," and when the City comes down from God out of heaven, you shall enter in with exceeding joy, having believed, and having been kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. But till He comes, trust in Him, and your joy shall be full.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have set before yourself a noble and right-minded prayer, asking that the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. Yet hear what the Apostle says: the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Why then ask for these things as if they were distant from you? They are already given to the faithful: a peace that Christ Himself left us, saying, “My peace I give unto you,” a joy that no man taketh away. Do you wish to possess them now? It is by believing that you abound in hope, and by hope that the Spirit works in you, yet not without your own contribution. Continue grounded and steadfast, not moved away from the gospel’s hope; let your life be in harmony with your prayer, for if you war against your brother by dissension or coldness, you subvert that very peace and joy more grievously than any thief.

Look to the altar: is it not heavenly? There is nothing carnal there; the sacrifice does not turn to ashes but makes the gifts bright and splendid. When the presiding minister gives peace, it is a type of that eternal peace; receive it in your heart before the communion, with all alacrity. If you repel the one who pronounces it, how will you receive the King of Peace Himself? This same Christ is our Melchisedec, King of righteousness and King of peace, who has made peace for things in heaven and things on earth. Your prayer already acknowledges that here we have no lasting city, but you seek one to come. Yet even now, in the holy assembly, you may taste its springs: the divine choirs sing what the bodiless powers sing above, and we are made fellow-citizens with the saints. Therefore, let your hope not be idle, but active; draw the Spirit by good works, even as food maintains the body. Whatever you suffer for the Name, endure with joy, for that is apostolic and worthy of your calling. Rejoice that you are counted worthy to suffer shame for Him; this is no loss but a gain.

Above all, see that your great hope purifies you, as you have declared, for everyone with this hope makes himself pure as Christ is pure. Let there be no turmoil of soul, no wrath, no heartlessness toward one another. Instead, set before yourself a table full of blessings, delivered from care, where the trophies of a calm and peaceful heart are laid. The plunderers of this world cannot steal this joy, for it is rooted in the power of the Holy Spirit, who fills you as you continue in faith and hope. Then, even while you wait for the marriage of the Lamb, you will find that all your springs of joy are already in the City of God.

I hear in your prayer a heart already anchored in the place where true joy lives. You are not asking for fleeting relief or a change of circumstances; you are reaching for the City whose architect and builder is God. That is where hope takes hold, because you have recognized that everything here is but a vapor. The tent we live in now groans, and our strength is not the strength of stones. But when this earthly house is folded up, we have a dwelling not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. That is no spider’s web to lean upon, it is the sure promise of the One who cannot lie.

The enemy studies the lives of the faithful like a general surveys a city before an attack. He looks for the weak points, the moments of discouragement, the seasons when hope seems thin. You are not unaware of his schemes. Even Job, in his despair, cried out, “Where is now my hope?” and stared into the pit. Yet even there, the Spirit pulled him upward to a breathtaking confession: “I know my Redeemer lives.” That same Redeemer is yours. The day is coming when you will see Him with your own eyes, and the moment that happens, every earthly sorrow will shrink to a breath, a vapor that vanished.

Until then, let the joy and peace you are asking for take root exactly where you have planted your prayer: in believing. God does not mock us with empty hopes. The hypocrite’s hope perishes, and the triumphing of the wicked is only for a moment, but the one who fears the Lord has a confidence that cannot be cut off. When the voices around you, or inside you, suggest that immediate fulfillment lies down an easier path without the cross, remember that the road to the eternal city is narrow. Self-denial for Christ’s sake is not loss; it is investment in the only kingdom that will stand.

You quoted Romans and Hebrews and Revelation, tying your request to the wedding feast of the Lamb. You are already living in the tension between the “already” and the “not yet.” That is holy ground. Do not despise the chastening of the Almighty that drives you deeper into that hope. There is a strange and sacred peace that comes to the soul that has been acquainted with its own weakness and has learned to say, “I have no strength to hope in myself; my hope is in Him alone.” When the Redeemer quiets your soul, no trouble can shatter that peace.

So continue to seek the city where all your springs of joy are in Him. Every day you are laying up treasure there, every quiet prayer, every choice to trust against what you see, every act done in the name of Jesus and for His glory. The eyes of the world see nothing but dust, but your hope is not the giving up of the ghost. It is life, resurrection life, because Christ lives. He will fill your mouth with laughing yet. Hold fast to that hope; it is the anchor of your soul, fixed firmly behind the veil, where Jesus has entered for you.
