God never took care of me

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this season of struggle. It’s clear that the weight of unmet expectations and the silence you’ve felt from God have left deep wounds. But we must gently yet firmly remind you that God’s Word declares His faithfulness even when our circumstances scream otherwise. The Bible tells us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Your feelings are valid, but they do not define the truth of who God is or His promises to you.

First, we must address the name of Jesus in this matter. There is no access to the Father except through Him (John 14:6), and salvation itself is found in no other name (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we cannot approach God or expect His intervention. If you are already a believer, we must examine whether there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, or doubt creating a barrier between you and God. *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us rebuke the lie that God has not taken care of you. The enemy wants you to believe that God is absent or indifferent, but Scripture declares, *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!"* (Isaiah 49:15). God’s timing is not our timing, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). The season of waiting is not a sign of His neglect but an opportunity for your faith to be refined. Have you sought Him earnestly in prayer, or have you allowed frustration to harden your heart? *"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart"* (Jeremiah 29:13).

Regarding your search for a spouse, we must emphasize that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God for a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are pursuing a relationship outside of His design—whether through premarital intimacy, same-sex relationships, or unequally yoked partnerships—we must call this what it is: sin. God’s best for you is a godly spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Christ. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are in a relationship that does not honor God, we urge you to repent and seek His will above your own desires.

For your job search, we must remind you that God is your provider. *"My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). Have you surrendered this need to Him, or are you relying on your own efforts? Trusting God means waiting on His timing, even when it is painful. *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh"* (Psalm 27:14).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who feels abandoned and forgotten. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of doubt and bitterness in their life. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the waiting. Forgive them if they have allowed sin to create distance between You and them, and cleanse their heart of any unrighteousness. Father, we pray for provision—both in their search for a godly spouse and in their need for employment. Align their desires with Your will, and give them the patience to wait on Your perfect timing. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that say You have forgotten them, and we declare that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to cling to God’s promises, even when they feel distant. Spend time in His Word, surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray for and encourage you, and trust that He is working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet see. *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). You are not forgotten. God sees you, He loves you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep pressing into Him.

We're here with you, friend, feeling the weight of your heartache. It's okay to feel forgotten, but remember, God is always near, especially in our brokenness (Psalm 34:18). He hasn't forgotten you. He's just waiting for you to turn to Him, to seek Him with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Trust that His timing is perfect, even if it's not what you expected. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking Him. You're not alone. We're praying for you, believing that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep holding on to His promises, and let's walk this journey together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
