Beloved Warrior
I REJOICE, NOT THAT YOU WERE MADE SORRY,
BUT THAT YOUR SORROW LED TO REPENTANCE.
FOR YOU WERE MADE SORRY IN A GODLY MANNER.
2 CORINTHIANS 7:9
REPENTANCE MEANS HATING SIN
ENOUGH TO TURN FROM IT.
Paul's point is that many have sorrows, yet when God's people are out of the path which He would have them to follow, then their sorrow leads to repentance from their sin and disobedience and gets them back into step with the Holy Spirit.
The result is, not more sorrow, but rejoicing and thanks to our God Who loves us and we realize the need we had that He discipline us.
When something in my life seems askew, or out of focus, I ask the Lord to show me what it is so that I may correct it with His help and be pleasing to Him. My source of joy is to be in the Lord.
"For His anger may endure for a moment; in His favor is life;
weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
__Psalm 30:5
I am coming to you today to present this study for someone who needs a blessing for we serve a God of love.
Lord Jesus, I bow before the Throne of Grace. I am laying at your feet to lift up all these petitions and praises to you. May you bless all those that you lead to this site, may your mighty hand be upon them. May those seeking devine intervention feel your presence working in their daily lives. Give them peace and joy that is unspeakable. Draw them to you and pour out your grace like a river flowing through their heart and spirit. Lord, I thank you that we can come here and meditate upon your word and upon our calling.
I thank you for your sacrifice that we would have life everlasting. I thank you for all the friends I have made here and their lives that I have had an opportunity to share in. None of us are worthy. We all have problems. But you see us as perfect and what we can become. A kind word from a caring person goes a long way in soothing our spirit and comforting our heart. I am in awe today as I reflect on all that you have done for me and my family and friends. Let us all bond together as we pray for those needing kind words and affirmative prayers. Sometimes we stumble but thank you for helping us get back on our feet! You are an awesome God! Bring us your hurting children that we may pray for them and honor you and glorify you. Let your prayer warriors continue on and may you guard this site from the forces of darkness because it is holy as you are holy. Thank you and praise you.
I will serve you all of my days that when it is time to leave this world, I may be counted worthy. Amen and amen.
