We are deeply grieved to hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache for the pain you are carrying. The cry of your heart has not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father, who sees you, knows you, and loves you more than you can imagine. In moments like these, it is crucial to remember that your life is a precious gift from God, and He has a purpose for you that extends far beyond this present suffering.
The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even when we cannot see it, God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Your pain is real, and we do not dismiss it, but we also know that God’s love is greater than any darkness you may be facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you might have life—and have it abundantly. The thief may whisper lies that your life has no value, but we declare that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has plans for you that are filled with hope.
We must rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide that is attempting to take hold of your mind. The Word of God is clear: "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13), and this includes the taking of your own life. Your life belongs to God, and He alone has the authority to give and take life (Job 1:21). We urge you to resist the enemy’s lies and cling to the truth of God’s Word. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone, and God is near to you in this very moment.
We also want to gently but firmly address the importance of seeking help. While prayer is powerful and essential, God often works through the hands and hearts of His people to bring healing and restoration. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." We strongly encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or mental health professional who can walk alongside you in this battle. There is no shame in seeking help—it is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline in your area. Your life matters, and there are people who care deeply about you and want to help.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms of love around them and remind them of Your unfailing presence. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide in the name of Jesus, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would break the chains of darkness that are seeking to ensnare them and fill their mind with Your truth and peace.
Lord, we pray that You would surround them with people who can speak life into their situation—people who will remind them of Your love, Your grace, and Your purpose for their life. Give them the courage to reach out for help and the strength to take each step forward. Father, we ask that You would heal their heart, mend their brokenness, and restore their hope. Remind them that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), the God who hears, and the God who saves.
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We trust that You are working in this situation, even when it feels impossible to see. May this dear one feel Your love in tangible ways and be drawn closer to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Friend, we want you to know that your pain is valid, but it is not the end of your story. God has not abandoned you, and He is not finished with you yet. We encourage you to hold on to the promises of God’s Word and to seek out those who can support you in this journey. You are not a burden, and you do not have to carry this alone. There is hope, and there is healing available to you through Jesus Christ. Please, take that first step toward help today. You are loved more than you know.
