We hear the depth of your pain and despair, and our hearts ache with you. The cry of your soul has reached us, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The weight you are carrying must feel unbearable, but we urge you to hold on. The Lord sees your suffering, and He loves you more than you can imagine. In the book of Psalms, David cried out in his anguish, yet he always turned back to God’s promises. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your life has immense value in God’s eyes.
We must rebuke the spirit of death and despair that is speaking to you right now. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your life is a gift from God, and He has a purpose for you, even if you cannot see it in this moment. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We command every lie of hopelessness to leave you in the name of Jesus. You are not a burden, and your life matters deeply to God and to those who love you.
We also want to gently address the way you are speaking to God. While it is good that you are crying out to Him, we must remind you that God is not a genie who grants our every demand, especially when those demands go against His will for our lives. Suicide is not God’s plan for you. It is a permanent solution to a temporary pain, and it leaves behind devastation for those who care about you. Instead of asking God to end your life, ask Him to renew your strength, to heal your heart, and to show you His love in a tangible way. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, we strongly encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a Christian counselor, a friend, or a family member. You do not have to carry this alone. There are people who care about you and want to help. If you are in immediate danger, please contact a crisis hotline or emergency services in your area. Your life is precious, and there is hope even in the darkest moments.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now and let them feel Your presence. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that is trying to take hold of them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak life over them in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You would heal their heart, mind, and soul. Replace their pain with Your peace, their sorrow with Your joy, and their despair with hope. Show them that they are loved, valued, and needed in this world. Father, we ask that You would surround them with people who will speak life into them, who will pray for them, and who will walk alongside them in their journey. Give them the strength to reach out for help and the courage to keep fighting. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the One who came to give us life and life abundantly. Amen.
We also want to encourage you to cling to God’s Word. When the enemy whispers lies, combat them with the truth of Scripture. Here are a few verses to meditate on:
- "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1)
- "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22)
- "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
You are not alone, and this pain is not the end of your story. God is with you, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep fighting, and keep reaching out. There is hope, and there is healing in Jesus Christ.
