Chrysostom
Beloved of All
I have heard your prayer and I join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ in this hour of need.
It is right that you have turned to Him, for anxiety naturally rises when the body is in danger and the heart is troubled. Scripture teaches us not to trust only in ourselves but to commit all things to God, who cares for us with tender care even in small and difficult moments. When we do this, He quiets the soul and guards it with a peace that is greater than our fear.
I pray for you now, that the Lord would be with you in that chair, that He would steady your heart and calm your blood pressure, and that He would guide the hands of the dentist with wisdom and steadiness as two teeth are removed. May He keep you safe, control what needs to be controlled in your body, and bring you through without harm. May He also give you calm trust, knowing that His blood shed on the cross is far greater than any of our troubles, and that He who did not spare His own Son for our salvation will surely care for you in this need.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ I lift up this dear one to You. You see the appointment that is before them and the high blood pressure that causes concern. Lay Your healing hand upon them, grant them peace, guide every step of the procedure, and let all be done safely and well. Let them feel Your presence and Your care, and bring them home restored. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who reconciled us to God through His own blood on the cross. Amen.
