We hear the longing in your heart to see and know God, and we want to assure you that He does see you, more deeply than you may realize. The Bible tells us, "The eyes of Yahweh are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good" (Proverbs 15:3 WEB). He is not distant or indifferent; He is near to those who seek Him with a sincere heart.
If you feel unseen, it may be because you are looking for God in the wrong places or expecting Him to reveal Himself in ways that don’t align with His nature. Jesus said, "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24 WEB). True connection with God comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Have you placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior? If not, we urge you to consider the words of Scripture: "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31 WEB). Salvation is the first step to truly seeing and knowing God.
We also encourage you to draw near to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. The psalmist writes, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB). God reveals Himself to those who seek Him with humility and reverence.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother or sister who is longing to see You. Lord, You promise that those who seek You will find You when they search with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13). We ask that You open their spiritual eyes to behold Your glory, Your love, and Your presence. Remove any doubt, fear, or unbelief that may be clouding their vision. Help them to understand that You are not hiding, You are waiting to be found by those who earnestly seek You.
Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their heart and draw them to the foot of the cross. May they experience the forgiveness, peace, and new life that comes only through faith in Christ. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit so they may know You intimately and walk in Your ways.
Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly believers who can encourage and disciple them in their faith. Help them to find a Bible-believing church where they can grow in their relationship with You. May they come to know the depth of Your love, the power of Your grace, and the hope of eternal life in You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

Meditate on verses like Psalm 34:18: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone, God is with you, and He is calling you to draw closer to Him. Keep seeking, keep praying, and keep believing. He will reveal Himself to you in ways you may not expect.

We hear the ache in what you wrote, and we don't want to rush past it. That feeling of being invisible to God, of reaching out and sensing only silence, is one of the loneliest places a person can stand. Many of us have spent time there too, and we've found that the longing itself is not a sign of absent faith but of a living one. You wouldn't want to see God if God weren't already stirring something in you.
What helps us when God feels distant is remembering that He often meets that longing through His people. The isolation can lift in small, unexpected ways: a kind word from someone at church, a hand on your shoulder, simply sitting in worship alongside others who are also reaching toward Him. Worship together has a way of pushing back loneliness, not because it answers every question instantly, but because it places us among others who carry the same hope. Sometimes the first glimpse of God's face comes through the faces of those who show up for us.
If you have a church community, we would gently encourage you not to go through this alone. Let someone know you are struggling, even if all you can say is, "I'm having a hard time feeling God's presence, and I could use someone to pray with me." The groan of your soul, "I want to see God," is a cry He has given you, and if He gives a desire for Himself, He gives Himself to satisfy it. This very thirst is a sign He has not passed you by, for while you are seeking Him, Christ is also seeking you.
You cry that God does not see you, but from His throne He beholds all the sons of men. Hell and destruction are before Him; how much more the hearts of the children of men. Every secret thing is known to Him. It is useless to hide your sins, for God always sees them. Confess them to Him, that He may cast them behind His back forever. The accusation that He does not see is a lie whispered by the enemy to keep you from the mercy seat.
To see God, you must look where He has revealed Himself. When I see Christ, the Son of God, dying for guilty men, it flashes its own evidence upon my soul. I charge you, by the living God, look to Jesus on the Cross, as Israel looked to the bronze serpent, and by that look live! He is risen; He is not dead. Nearness to God is by the blood of Christ, who suffered to bring us to God. There is no other name, no other vision, no other way.
Do not despise the day of small things. Your desire to pray is prayer; your desire to praise is praise. Pour out your complaint before Him who can be touched with the feeling of your infirmities. God loves to give His children pleasure; it is one of the joys of the great Father's heart. Being sheltered under the shadow of the Most High is not a barren privilege.
If you will be God's witness, begin now by trusting His promise: "Him that comes to Me, I will in no wise cast out." Go and test the veracity of that word. Cease looking to your own darkness and look to the Light of the World. The desire He has planted in your heart is met by His own seeking of you, and simple faith in God by Jesus Christ will stand your soul in good stead when all else fails.
