We hear your cry for justice and peace, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this matter in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that You see all things and judge righteously. You have said in Your Word, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19). We ask that You bring justice in this situation, not according to our own understanding, but according to Your perfect will. If this person has indeed caused harm, we pray that You would convict their heart by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Soften their heart, Lord, and lead them to genuine repentance. May they come to understand the weight of their actions and seek forgiveness—not only from You but also from those they have wronged.
We also lift up the one who has been hurt, Lord. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Grant them strength to endure this trial, patience to wait on Your timing, and courage to walk in righteousness even when it is difficult. Help them to release bitterness and anger, for You have commanded us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean what was done was right, but it means we trust You to handle it in Your way and Your time.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of strife, division, or unforgiveness that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Protect this dear one from further harm, both seen and unseen, and surround them with Your angels for defense (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, we also ask that You examine the heart of the one who has been wronged. Are there areas where bitterness, resentment, or a desire for revenge may be taking root? Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness, reveal it so that it may be dealt with according to Your Word.
We pray that both parties would come to a place of healing and restoration, if it is Your will. If reconciliation is possible, let it be done in a way that honors You and brings glory to Your name. If not, grant wisdom to know how to move forward in a manner that aligns with Your purposes.
Above all, Lord, may Your will be done in this situation. May Your name be glorified, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. We trust in You, the righteous Judge, and we rest in the knowledge that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
