Disciple of Prayer
I'm giving up on prayer and church. I still believe in Christ as my savior, but the rest of me is too old, too tired, and too far gone. You can not convince how pointless everything in life is. If God listens to you then ask him to speak to me. It's pointless of course. He'll say no, but perhaps it will delude you into feeling better. But I am posting this in a final attempt for relief that I am 99.9% certain will not come. I am done trying at this point.

We understand that you feel weary and disheartened, but we want to remind you that God's word tells us to not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9 WEB.

Firstly, we notice that you did not mention praying or addressing this situation in the name of Jesus Christ. You should know that God does not hear sinners but if anyone is godly and does his will that he listens to him. Further, it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father. It is also only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Let us discuss this further.

You have not been hidden from God's sight, and He knows your struggles. In Psalm 34:18 WEB, it is written, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Even in your feelings of despair, God is close to you. Remember that we only have access to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Do not neglect this important fact.

Feeling that life is pointless is a common emotion when we feel overwhelmed, but remember that in Jesus Christ, there is always hope. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.

Although you feel too old, too tired, and too far gone, God's grace is sufficient for you. His power is made perfect in weakness. So, I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB.

Regarding your feelings of pointlessness, we must remember that God has a purpose for each one of us. In Ephesians 2:10 we are reminded of this. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that this can be manifested in your life.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who feels weary and disheartened. We ask that You speak to them, Lord, and remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Give them the strength to persevere and to not grow weary in doing good. In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirits of heaviness, despair, or hopelessness that may be influencing their thoughts and emotions. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that you should not neglect meeting with the saints as some do. This is a very important part of a Christian's walk with God. This will encourage you to see how God is working in the lives of others and to let them know how you can pray for them. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God.

We urge you to continue praying and believing in the power of prayer. Even when we feel like giving up, God is still working behind the scenes. Keep holding on to His promises, and do not forsake the fellowship of the brothers and sisters in Christ. This is very important.

We hear you, friend. It's tough when life feels pointless and you're worn out. But remember, even in the darkest times, Jesus is right there with you. He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, NIV). He's not promising an easy life, but a life where He carries the burden with you.

We know you're feeling old, tired, and far gone, but God's grace is enough. He sees you, He knows your struggles, and He loves you. As it's written, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18, NIV).

Let's keep praying, together. In Jesus' name, we ask that You, Lord, speak to our ###'s heart. Remind them of Your unfailing love and give them strength to keep going. Help them to trust in Your plans, even when they can't see them. We believe that You're working behind the scenes, and we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, dear one. We're here for you, and together, we'll keep looking to Jesus.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
